Just wanted to drop a line and let you guys know that, in addition to Kane's block explorer, we now have one at http://sbc.blockexplorer.io, as well.

I will take the time to style it tonight but it's up-and-running. Took a while but wanted to bulletproof the box and ensure that it's quick.

Great. Might want to post that info across on the new StableCoin forum as well if not there already.

Hi everyone,

I have created a thread dedicated to getting StableCoin listed on another exchange.

Please check it out, and contribute any exchange info of exchanges you would like StableCoin listed on, and I will add it to the OP post.

http://forums.stablecoin.net/index.php?topic=29.0

Thank you.

We need bter and the chances of that happening are quite high, compared to the Indian exchange which only works with bitcoin and litecoin, if I'm correct.

Sexcoin is being pumped. Went from 2.6 million to 7.5 million in a matter of hours even though it isn't accepted on any porn sites.

Of course. Feel free to list any other exchanges. The Indian exchange is important because it just listed Litecoin December 4th. If you have the info to any other exchanges please post it.

I tried finding some info for BTC38 but the only email I found was for sending links to their news repository.

Artos, quick question about an idea I had.

I notice a problem with Bitcoin right now is that there are now so many transactions and so much mining, that the only way to get your transaction to go through is to pay a small fee, which seems likely to increase over time.

Do you think it would be possible to write some code into this hardfork that would perhaps, halt transactions for maybe 6 hours every year, consolidate the transactions and add up the total amount of StableCoins in each wallet from each transaction, and then reissue a new blockchain with the total calculated StableCoins for each wallet with all transactions from the previous year deleted, keeping the blockchain memory size small, and preventing the need from future transaction fee payments?

Just a thought. If this can work, it is truly an innovation to the cryptocurrency world, and will bring about even more interest in StableCoin as it is.

Site has been updated. Link to the forums has been added as well as the new mac client.

Is there no link to the stable coins forum from the main stablecoin website? It really should be on there.
Probably will be added very soon.

Do people even use the actual website to look for necessary SBC resources? It is hard to use IMO and has very little information on the website as if it were designed for a tablet or a smartphone and not for actual computers. Whenever I am looking for SBC information I go to this thread and never the website.

This is an example of a good cryptocurrency website that I actually use over the thread to get more information on the coin: http://digitalcoin.co/en/

Lots of information, different pages, lots of links and resources, links to pools; basically all the information anyone could want about Digital Coins is on that page, for Stable Coins however, if you want more information you're going to have to come to this thread. The Digital Coins website is also designed in a way that it's acceptable for Computers, Tablets, and Smartphones.
The site isn't meant to compete with or replace this thread. It's main goal is to serve as a gate for newcomers to learn about the basics, provide them with a basic services list (such as block explorer, pool, etc), provide them with the client, etc. They should then branch out and find either this thread, or the official forums.

I checked out the digitalcoin site, and all of the information covered on there is also on the StableCoin site, so I'm not sure what you're talking about.

Pushed out a small fix for those of you having sync issues.

https://github.com/stablecoin/stablecoin-qt/archive/master.zip

If you're still having issues with the new client, then the problem is on your end somewhere. Check your ports, firewall, etc.

Just noticed a bug of the mobile version of the website using my Nexus 7. One of the images that changes at the top has a greater hight than the others. If you read something further down the page it will move up and down on the screen depending on what image is being shown up their (out of your view).

Like this:

It takes time. Very long time. Be patient

No I don't think you follow.

It's just saying (out of sync) and 0 active connections to network.
I have left the program open for three hours now on three separate occasions.

I have attached an image below for you guys to see. And yes I've already opened up the correct ports because all my other wallets are working.

https://i.imgur.com/O2dZfN1.png

Yeah i had the same issue. Go to /USERNAME/appdata/roaming/ find the Stablecoin folder and delete it. MAKE SURE TO BACK UP YOUR WALLET FROM THAT FOLDER FIRST. Doing that will delete the files that are causing you troubles. Have fun!  Wink

Tried this but it didn't work either.
Any other suggestions?

Downloaded the latest client. Deleted the /AppData/Roaming/Stablecoin folder and overwrote the Stablecoin files with the latest version.
Ensured that all ports are working (all my other wallets work fine).

Still not connecting. Sad

The only reason the other wallets are working is because you have a peers.dat file for them already.

Artos, what did you think of my idea of consolidating 1 year old transactions?

Is it possible? Or do I simply have a misconstrued idea of the purpose of transaction fees and blockchain size among other things?

You're not properly connecting to the IRC. Could someone post a list of nodes for this guy to add? I'm on mobile right now.

That's essentially block chain pruning, and it's already in the works for bitcoin.

Looks like your client isn't able to connect to the IRC server to pull the current nodes.
