I'm sure the mini will still be capable of mining long after it is no longer economically feasible to turn it on   which will probably happen sometime early next year

Kahooli, you really. The difficulty of ZEC has increased rapidly in recent days? ~ 18% per day ? Currently, no one has received Z9 minis batch-2 (till Aug 28), and the same thing happened with Inno, so why is the difficulty increasing so fast ?

Vosk did bad by putting his face with that machine. Even he admits he's shilling for them and clearly states he wouldn't buy it. No poolside hash is shown. Buy z9 or an a9 with that money. 9k is a good amount of mini's.

Nothing quiet about it, thats what ASIC makers do, they use your money to build thier own farms , turn your shiney new asics into useless heaters.  By the time batch 2 is finally shipped roi will be in the gpu range or lower.

I am confused because I do not see dramatic drop of daily ZEC hashing rate. Yes, it dropped but in my case only by ~15% since June

One Z9 mini takes ~350W, one GTX1080Ti in a computer ~ 250W, hashing only 770 sols/s

I still do not see any comparison with GPU mining

It's not quiet by normal standards, it's quiet for an ASIC, but if you compare it to GPU miners, this thing is loud.  I'd say that it runs about 3x louder than my 9x GPU rig due to the hi speed fans.

It's about the same audio as a server PSU running near full speed.

3 times louder? In what scale? What is your measure? dB? dBm? Have you actually measured it?

I have 2 Z9 mini's from batch one. Noise level depends on if you decide to overclock to 700 to get 15k sols, when I expect everyone with a Z9 mini is doing. When you do that, it is like a handheld vacuum cleaner running all the time. The S9 would be like a super large vacuum cleaner running all the time.

I also ordered 2 more Z9 mini's with $250 coupons. Still unshipped. Fingers crossed they get shipped soon.
