Whats the refund policy for a unit which has malfunctioned day two? Does Sushi honour or do we go to Antminer? Had 3 Xs most of the day reset Ant as stated on the troubleshooting guide by Dogie and now powers up can get into the miner via browser but no miner status everything else is as it should be just no flashing lights on chip boards all other lights come on no no clicking just ZERO hashes! of deerey deerey me. PM'd Sushi but as others have been waiting with several more miners with hosting issues and not had a response I doubt I will get one. So wondering where to turn to now does Bitmain honour warranties anyone had any experience of this and returns with them?
got two at same time other works fine same settings apart from IP of course.
Thanks
F
You'd get a bitmain warranty, but via Sushi. What you're describing could also be power problems.

Great guide! I like how every one has links at the top to all the other - I just find any Dogie's Guide and then click the link for the one I want.
Just a note: my new S1 arrived today, and setup is super easy now. Plug in two PCI-E connectors and the Ethernet cable, turn on the PSU and it booted up and immediately started mining on the Bitmain default pool. I just had to go into pool settings to set up my pools. The only step that you might consider adding to the guide is to go into System -> Administration and change the Router Password from the default password of "root". Just for extra safety.
As a noob, one question I have is: I have been able to SSH to the AntMiner. Is there a way to view the cgminer screen?

Run a Bitcoin node, support the network.

That's called load balance. Fallover/failsafe means it will prefer 1 as long as 1 is up. Then it will go to 2, until 1 is up.

Changing of the password isn't really required, only people behind your router could do anything to the settings. Its probably worth turning it off entirely. Yep setup is now PCI-Es, but I've left the cable based setup as those 1st gen units will eventually be resold and require setting up again. Circle of life.

The script is open to edit and there should be more than enough memory left to run screen, the is also a package for it at http://downloads.openwrt.org/snapshots/trunk/ar71xx/packages I was going to play with better cooling this weekend but now I have multiple choices, cooling, screen or wash the cars
