I just noticed that the one that isn't working is running cgminer 3.12.0-1 while the ones that are working are running 3.8.5-1 that has to be the problem right? Do you know where I can download the older version and do you know of anything I need to be aware of when doing it? I see the spot in software to download and install new packages, do I need to do anything else?
Thank you SO much for all of your help so far!

I am trying to flash the firmware from there but it's giving me this error: The uploaded image file does not contain a supported format. Make sure that you choose the generic image format for your platform I imagine I'm missing something obvious. I tried both antMiner_openwrt20131226.bin and antMiner_openwrt20140207.bin and got the same error. That's weird, that shouldn't happen :s Go to status -> kernel log, what is your first line? So you are on the latest Feb firmware, but something is still wrong if it won't accept new .bins to flash. Unfortunately I don't know the deep details on the WRT OS, but those over in the Avalon thread will. If you link to some of the information you've already given me here, they should be able to work out what's going on.

I checked youtube for an in depth firmware flashing guide to see if I was doing something dumb wrong. I don't think I was, but the guide had me download the entire zip file from github then copy out the bin to a folder on my computer. When I used that file instead of just the single file I downloaded from github it worked fine and is now mining. I have no idea why that worked but the single file didn't but at this point I'm just happy it's working! Thank you.

I know you're happy now, but if you have some free time, check the md5 checksum on the file that worked (from the zip) and the single file that didn't work. I suspect they would not match.

I don't really know anything about md5 checksums but I guess I don't see why they would be different if you downloaded the whole zip file vs just the individual file. Regardless, thank you for your video and thank you to dogie for helping me troubleshoot!

Regardless, thank you for your video and thank you to dogie for helping me troubleshoot! You're welcome and good to hear your Antminer is working well. MD5 checksum is way to compare 2 files. If 1 byte is different, the MD5 checksum values will not match for each file. The one I have in the video is the right checksum which is also shown during the upgrade process to have the same MD5 checksum. Enjoy the Antminer! good file (from github zip):-rw-r--r-- 1 jeremy users 8126464 Feb 9 00:18 antMiner_openwrt20140207.bin

I don't know if this has been covered already but is it possible to connect an Antminer directly through the ethernet port on a macmini running Ubuntu 12.10 and use the mini's connection to connect to the mining pool? The mini is serving as a dedicated computer for the rest of my mining equipment.

I've got an oldish PC fan on the front of this at the moment but I'd rather have a decent one as the Stock fan at the back is quite loud. Is there a recommended CFM to use with these?
Temps are 42C at the moment, is this normal?

The macmini would need to act as a network router. To be honest; I don't think it's what you want, unless you have an Antminer U1 (USB type Antminer). The Antminer S1 has a built-in contoller (CPU) and it's already a computer dedicated for Antminer's sha-256 mining operations. All it needs is to reach (via network interface) the "internet" so it can reach a mining pool and submit shares per your mining worker's credentials.

That was actually my intent, to use the mini solely as network access not to actually control the miner.

I wasn't aware that it had any other options than ethernet. Thanks.

Don't replace it, you need a high pressure fan.

I use Artic F12 PWM fans. One on each end both blowing in. Make sure it can breath freely from the bottom, e.g. a wire shelf or little block in the 4 corners. 42C sounds good but it really depends on the ambient temperature as to how cool you can run. At this moment mine are ranging from 38 (out in the cold garage) to 51 (inside in between 2 others).

Does anyone know how to keep AntMiner from logging out so fast Does anyone know if BitMain will include bfgminer so an AntMiner S1 can be controlled by MultiMiner

I have 2 Corsair 850w PSUs, like this one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139022Currently running 4 ASICminer Cubes with them, thinking about dumping the cubes on EBay next week. How many Antminers can I run off my 2 850w PSUs? Is it possible to run 3 Ants between 2 identical PSUs? My impression is each blade only pulls what it needs, or they act independently in terms of drawing power. I'm not a hardware guy, so please, by all means drop some knowledge if you can. Edit: actually, mine look more like this, but either way it's 850w and I paid around $80-90 for each, both were purchased used and push 4 cubes without problems.
