Set your Ants to DCHP, it'll make your life much easier. And why are you running them through a stratum proxy - that would explain a lot.

mehh, i cant find on the internet more cables to plug a second S1 on the same PSU (seasonic X-750 gold) as I'm already using both provided PCI-e 6pins//8pins for the first S1 Huh any idea on how to do it? or should i just go buy another PSU?

Just buy another one, it'll save you a headache later. Get a CX 750.

okee thx Smiley

Looking at purchasing this to power 2 S1 Antminers:

https://www.wtcr.ca/catalog/product/pwr-ch105-01

Would this be sufficient enough to power them plus a minor overclock?

Cheers,

Kyle.T

If you have some spare time for modding, try to search server PSUs, they are a lot cheaper (with 12-13€ you can find one that is capable to manage an OCed s1)

I've looked at these in detail and I think its a false premium. Assume you can get one used for $20 (in quantity and delivered). You then need an interface board ($20-40) and cables to make it useful ($20-30). For that time and effort you might as well have bought a normal PSU for $60-$90 which has a resale value.

Of course if you haven't old/broken PSUs where you can recover some connectors, and the PSU price itself isn't good it definetly not worth

hello bitcointalk.org! my name is Alex. I have an antminer s1 and I have problems setting it up.
I have followed dogie`s  setup tutorial and after I started the anminer I could not make him connect to the net... after that I made a change, this one:(7.(optional) Change protocol to DCHP client. Save and apply.) after this one I can not connect to the antminer at all. please let me know what should I do to fix this problem. thank you in advance!

Post in my thread, but the answer is also in the /0knELW]guide. You need to go back to your router, look for a list of devices and see what IP the antminer was assigned. Then navigate to that IP. Its currently sitting there waiting for you.

hello! I did find the antminers Ip 192.168.1.5
it did work but after I have logged in the interface stopped working and now I cant log in anymore. I do not understand what I did wrong. please help!

Can someone help me please? there is some btc in it for anyone that can!

I cannot connect to my miners. I have tried the default Ip address printed on the label and the ip address the previous owner gave me.
I do not know how to change my subnet mask D:, I have a superhub 2 and it is really confusing!

thanks for anyone who helps and the person that fixes it gets some big wonga.

I think my antminer s1 control board is faulty. recently upgrade the new firmware from bitmain support, wait close to 10 minutes but still, the luci interface did not pop up as usual (username and stuff to login).

tried reset using the small button, still not work. now I cannot ping or communicate to my antminer s1 since the lan port led on and off about 5 seconds interval.

any ways to revive back the control board? i think the firmware files from the bitmain was corrupted.

I was wondering what some options for wireless antenna are. From what I gathered, I need SMA Male and not RP-SMA Male to connect to the female connector the antminers come with but they seem really hard to find so I guess it has to be ebay?

What's the range without an antenna? Some of miners have to receive a signal through 3 walls but within 20 ft of my router. I have 3 others that can be within 10 ft of the router just right outside the room.

What are some other options beside antennas? I know they mention that adapter but not too familiar with what's good/best bang for buck.

Any help appreciated, thanks!

? You just need a standard antenna. There is a link to one in the OP. Range is about 10 feet without obstacles without one.

Hi
As the temperature is rising, so is the noise and temps of my S1's

Do you know of i could add these at either end of my S1's in a push / pull formation
http://www.corsair.com/en/air-series-sp120-pwm-high-performance-edition-high-static-pressure-fan-twin-pack

hopefully reduce the noise and the temps
I currently have temps of 50c and a fan speed of 3240 (OC'ed to 375 190GHs ish) which is getting a bit annoying now - I can even hear them echoing in my head when I'm at work lol

Yep, will get about 6C off the temps. Alternatively if you only have a few you can do the cooling mod (reverse both boards so the heatsinks both face outwards, then 2x120mm per blade blowing directly onto each heatsink).

Do you have a link to the cooling mod you mentioned? Thanks!

edit: found it

btw, is there a way to run the miner without the control board?
or can we change the controlboard?
something's wrong with my controlboard, it just wont start hashing

I'm going to say no from a cable stand point. The mining boards use a very specific cable which no other controller will use.

if you look at the logs the boards are a USB interface. I reckon if you could get a pinout of that cable then any USB interface should do and with cgminer and I think bfgminer supporting s1's they should be able to control those blades directly from any device that can run opwnwrt, Linux or windows.

You could, but at their current market value its just not worth.
