Version 1.5 Released. Version 1.5 is a mandatory upgrade, so please upgrade as soon as possible to avoid a fork. Version 1.5 fixes the superblock issue, making Graincoin the first coin ever to generate superblock in a truely random way. This will eliminate the hackers from getting most of the superblocks. Version 1.5 also includes some minor bug fixes. The switchover point is set at block 310000, which will be in about 5-7 days (we are at block 277100 now). Download links for Windows Client and source in github are updated.

Pool OPS, please pay attention that the block following the bonus block (the one that should have x8 or x64 payout) has two coinbase transactions: the standard one, at index 0 and the nonstandard at index 1 for PoW blocks and at index 2 for PoS blocks. This extra tx has a bonus block reward  (x7 or x63) for the previous block that is distributed proportionally between all output addresses listed in the actual bonus block coinbase tx.

P.S. I will provide the ubuntu version shortly.

I will check it, I think only the dir is there in github, the obj files should not be there. If they are there, I will delete them. Thanks.

I downloaded and compiled the source just after you released the new version. I wouldn't have mentioned anything if they were not there. Wink

Hey guys I made a little wallpaper for my fellow grainers. Smiley

http://image-upload.de/image/YFow5k/e38f7b41ec.jpg

I'm no photoshop genius but i made this to start a discussion about the branding of grain. grain is such a great coin technically but right now the website and the logo aren't up to par with other much weaker coins. I like that its not so "high-techy" looking but a little facelift would be great. same goes for the logo , its not bad but not modern enough. also a short slogan would be good. I wrote " the organic crypto"  on the wall paper , just an idea but we should find one asap, post your ideas , this 3 things would build grain more as a brand which helps people seeing the underlying fundamentals , that we all here know are superb.

ATM you could use 1.4. We will try to make 1.5 available before the switch.

Graincoin OS X Wallet Binaries

I finally got around to putting together OS X wallet binaries for graincoin. Two are available:

OS X 10.7: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B8rWObF4xz1YeERVc3cxeGJVLUE/edit?usp=sharing
OS X 10.9: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B8rWObF4xz1Ya3c0bTlBel9hZkk/edit?usp=sharing

These binaries required changing the code in some places, so I'll put up a pull request soon at github.

Is anyone else having issues with forkpool (https://gra.forkpool.com)? Huh I mined all day yesterday and never received any coins. Sent a few messages to the pool operators but haven't gotten a response so I thought I would try here.
