Nice coin, diff a bit high, not sure how profitable the coin is...
Long-term coin to hold. Stable price and new services weekly. Actually Grain shows steady price growth with some spikes when somebody decides to get into. Seems to be holding pretty well, need just to increase volume... Yes. By the way. The PoS difficulty doubled since block 130000 and PoW difficulty now again between 1 and 2. That means we got more people involved.

According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in
Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it
will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

Dear Bosian,
I didnt say, that the pool steals the coins. I said, that the share difficulty of the pool jumps too high for my miner (300-400 Kh/s), so that I cant compute the shares fast enough for the short rounds. This means, that when the round only takes 10 seconds and my GPU needs 20 seconds to find a share of min. 128 share difficulty, then I get nothing from this round, because i didnt submited any shares. [...]
OK, thanks for clarifying. Unfortunately we can not fix the diff. The diff is determined from the previous real block time. bobbyb is talking about pool/share diff, not GRA network diff. The shares that the pool is offering are of too high a difficulty for his hashing speed, so his miner is often still working on solving a share when the network (or pool) finds the block solution. He gets paid zero for that block since he didn't submit a completed share, even though his miner has done SOME work on it. Possible better for miners with low hashrate, create new pool without vardiff. This is problem in it while network difficulty low. Pool calculate new blocks very fast. PS For changing vardiff or other options i need to stop stratum server and mining. I would not want to do it. Better to setup second pool without varrdif or use livechains.net or solo mining.

I see that forkpool is on the same block as explorers.

Grain doing well. Good price, stable price, and it would only take more exchange volume for it to go up further. I am happy with my early investment.

I see that forkpool is on the same block as explorers. I saw many orphaned blocks on forkpool, at least 10 in a row.

I saw many orphans too, I think it's a common pow/pos problem. I saw same thing in other pow/pos coins, like 2 months ago Lucky7coin behaved the same. It will getting better with time I hope.

I have got similar situation just couple of days ago, in my case, I have got all orphans block only, anyway, I have move all coins to the wallet in coinedup(any difference wallet), and than, I have remove all in %APPDATA%/Grain folders (block datas, and everything), and than, I have resync all blocks, Over 40 hours mining, I have found 83 blocks, and 44 blocks are valid and 39 blocks are orphan. especially, today, it making so many orphans, I feel, when Diff is 0, got more orphans [actually, when PoS Diff is much lower] and, when have higher hashrates, got more orphans, One of strange things, ForkPool do not much orphans as the solo miner. Maybe their wallet filter out the number of orphans, I am mining with 2.2Mhs, Basically, Priority of PoS is higher than PoW, and reporting of PoS is way to slow so, Even you find a block if somebody have PoS even it is not reported, Your blocks will be orphans (sometime it happen after couple of seconds, even after 20-30 seconds) Anyway, some miner (include me) try to find the solution to avoid those kind of situation, If just calculate the mining result, I am using 2.2Mhs, and I guess the network hashrate is around 120~140M so, I have around 2% of network share, this coin generate around 1000 PoW blocks a day, I have to got around 20 blocks a day, actually, I have mined 43 blocks over 40 hours, So, even there are so many number of orphans, the actual mining result is normal [Actually, Bosian has explained base on this theory, and it is right]
DO not disturbed too much, and just calculate your actual mined blocks a day, I wish your good luck

Ack! I thought I had lost about half of my GRA when I upgraded to the new client. The transactions showed up in the wallet, but they weren't showing up under balance or stake . Fortunately, changing the wallet to wallet.dat.bak, starting a new wallet, and importprivkey with all of my private keys was able to solve the problem.
