and, Grain coin give to us 5000 free coins, it is an extra breathing,
but, it will be finished soon..  Wink

yes, but then we will have four times more PoW blocks in the same period of time than now Wink

Actually, it is almost similar now
If can keep same level, GRA 1.25 times better than LTC
And will be better  and better
I do not understand why people do not aware the value of this coin

Have a nice day

I'm new to the grain community, why did the price triple?

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=186785
Here is the link to my trust settings here on forum. This trust system is very unfair. I make good on every deal Ive ever made. I had many, many deals as you can see and I never scammed anyone. All it takes is a random account to give you negative trust and youre screwed. Tomatocage has never even talked to me ever but when the random acct hit me with negative trust, Tomatocage came right behind him and marked neg trust again so obviously he was the one who did it. You can look at Tomatocage trust and see how many of his compeditors at the currency exchange thread he labeled scammers. I never scammed anyone. My trust was green over 20 before this. I hope it never happens to you because the mods cant help you.

based on current hashrate, GRA price would have to be 0.00000452 to be a top 5 coin.

Hugely undervalued right now. I might have to pull funds from other coins to buy more GRA.

I agree that it's hugely undervalued. I think once people realise the value of the coin and its PoS nature, they can begin to see its potential, and that's part of the reason the price is slowly rising - apart from also the PoS being a stable factor in keeping the price going up.

If I had to sell someone on Grain, I'd just need to tell them they'd earn 5% a year more just by holding Grain in their wallet. That's a pretty good incentive to keep mining/holding.

Don't forget forkpool Grin
We found 445 blocks after compensation transaction.
And im can to make payouts at any time now.

I did not and I will not. According to the block chain there were 168 blocks mined to the address 97mHyuMsZC3RyU9p3JiX5xyDpYXDZZUFdj between blocks 76d3c9931d7314799a90e7d4d6c6ef1345f7612e794ba9bb3e4587b04eca3e32 and 00000000779fde2c6bdf87ce2c065028f599b0056cd5a6c6d4dd555ebd47c648. The payouts since 00000000779fde2c6bdf87ce2c065028f599b0056cd5a6c6d4dd555ebd47c648 are not yet processed.

I still don't seem to have received any of these compensation payments from fork pool.  Has anyone else?

Also, when did the pool fee change to 3% instead of 2%? I didn't notice until now.  But the OP needs updating to reflect this

No. Not that simple. In order to get this 5% yearly income you have to run your wallet periodically at least. Please read below the brief explanation of the PoS (proof-of-stake) blocks:

Thanks for the help guys, got it to work from the command prompt.

I had a question about the proof of stake blocks/coins...how do I get some?

I have well over 100k gra here, that I mined, and I've had them for weeks, and I don't see any proof of stake coins in my wallet.

To get PoS block rewards you need to keep your wallet running. It is not necessary to run it for 24 hours a day if you have no many inputs (separate income transactions). Each input has its coin age that is started to count at the moment the tx had place. When its age reaches 10 days that input is eligible for PoS mining. The PoS mining is the process of searching the golden nonce for the block using eligible inputs, but the algorithm is much less CPU intensive than PoW mining. When the golden nonce is found for that particular input the block is solved. The block reward is added to the amount of the selected input and sent back to the same address being split into two equal inputs. Thus the coinage of the input is spent, the new two inputs has their coin age reset to zero and the process repeats. So, if you have not many transactions you may run your wallet for the couple of days each 10 days. But if you still mine PoW blocks that means that you regularly receive payouts from blocks itself if you do solo or from the pool otherwise. Then it is reasonable to keep the wallet running as much as possible. So you have to decide your strategy according to the situation.

Hi,

We have created a new Grain pool @ gra.cryptochomper.com for anyone who would like to sign up and start chomping....

https://i.imgur.com/9NxkTqE.jpg

We are planning to introduce other pools later on so any feedback welcome.

CryptoChomper

Great pool, switched all my miners over.

It is a nice pool... but why you change the link (I fixed it in this quote)? Be careful guys, look at the link before you click on it.

Many thanks bosian for informing everyone that the original URL I specified was modified by katsoo....

The correct URL for the Grain pool @ CryptoChomper is gra.cryptochomper.com

Btw, as you might know we are rewarding every PoW block found until we reach the block #130000 with extra 5K Grain bonus. Is it OK with you if this bonus is sent to the same address that your pool is using in the coinbase tx?

Sure thing, we will arrange for the bonus to be divided between the miners on those blocks.

So If I have Grain coins in my wallet and keep it open, will it then earn more coins? Or is there another step to the process?

Yes, this is enough. So if you bought some amount once in a single tx, then it is enough to keep it open for day or two (actually until you get a PoS block(s) solved) each ten days since you got the coins. Remember, that each block splits the input into two different, so next time you should wait for 2 blocks, then for 4 blocks, e.t.c. At some point when the resulting inputs will be too small the walled should merge them into a single one.
