I don't know about "redneck coin", but I do like the digital theme with coins. I think the feathercoin logo looks really nice with the digital feather.

Here are some ideas I liked that maybe someone more graphically gifted could use (would need to be recreated @ higher res to be useable):



I specifically like the idea of having the coin circled with grain, seems fitting.

There's also this which I think looks neat, but it's hard to identify as grain/wheat/etc. (at least to me):
