Yes, but the future would be even brighter, if we had a second pool with a lower fee than 5%.

Interesting coin. Not based on an animal this time Wink

I like the grain logo, its universal, everyone can relate to it. Downloading wallet now.

yes I thought the grain logo was very well done. doesn't the idea of PoS and the large block amounts suit the name? I like how the settings of GRA reflect the theme of the coin, like a game sort of. people have asked what sets GRA apart from all other scrypt coins, I think at least there is a lot of thought and a good name, and imo really good settings on this coin, for tx confirmation.

also the idea of growing crops of grain is very appealing to the miners, not all of them, but those who are interested in it for financial gain AND entertainment. while its not *the most* entertaining thing in the world to mine coins, thinking about my little grain farm is just a little bit more fun than purely collecting coins.

Yes, but the future would be even brighter, if we had a second pool with a lower fee than 5%.

I think we should put a bounty on it. if I knew how to make a pool I would.

ill talk to bosian and see if hes ok with me trying to find us someone for it, someone with other pools already it cant be that much work to make one for GRA..

but I don't know anything about it so, I guess I will have to learn.

This coin won't compile in unix, there are no open or closed issues in GIT, and there are hard references to windows crap in the make files for unix.

how often on average should we see stake blocks? i got my first one the other day and most of the other stake coins take a lot longer to start issuing them

depends on how long you hold the coins in your wallet. Usually you need to hold at least 10-15 days before the pos block will be generated.

The blockchain explorer at http://coinblockchain.com/grain/ seems to be on fork, or there is nothing new in this?

Is the block #52932 (9ca1cd5ec60b99c2f5b5f5889ab3a8b3fff5f1be4219a153355836f2a4888707) on the main chain?

Three things needed to boost GRA:

- Publicity and public awareness of GRA's potential.

- Better presentation (websites, forums, logo design, etc.) as to not look like another alt coin hack job and present the show of professional confidence.

- Accessibility. People trade with things that are convenient, therefore we desperately need BTC/GRA on an exchange! How can a coin grow if it's not directly exchangeable to the most popular, accessible, and well known crypto? Get GRA/BTC set up on an exchange, since lack of this option is strangling GRA growth and contributes to low public participation.

GRA needs more publicity. FAR more publicity. Dogecoin has proved that with enough publicity and public excitement, greed and anticipation of increase does wonders in propelling even a mediocre joke coin into prominence. In other words, a joke imbued with enough sense of anticipation, participation, and effort, can actually turn into something significant. If dogecoin can do it, something more real such as GRA definitely can.

Go to social networking sites. Go to twitter. Go to blogs, media, news networks. Go to reddit. Go to 4chan. Go anywhere to make it known that GRA exists and is a good opportunity for the following reasons:

Emphasize the fact that GRA is vastly undervalued compared to its nominal price. Present low values will make it a much more affordable venture for many people who are not willing to risk more than few hundred dollars at most on crypto. Attract those who are not willing to spend too much with the correct analysis that GRA's values have much greater room for increase than others.

Emphasize that it has 50 billion coin supply compared to BTC's 21 million. People and public are far more likely to feel attracted towards something they can own in whole number values than in decimals. This is surprisingly powerful motive. Buying and owning 100s of something is inherently more satisfying by instinct than owning 0.002595802 of something.

Emphasize that crypto has gone through numerous trials, and survived.

Above all, be confident and spread the word. Even those without any realistic grounds for validity can become a significant force if the anticipation and human impulse drives demand and goals. From that relative point of view, we can confidently say GRA has greater future than any empty day dreams or anticipations of greed.

With publicity and clear statement of real potential possibilities, GRA will definitely rise. If dogecoin can do it, GRA can.

Three factors listed above are applicable to any crypto, but GRA has the potential to make most of them if dev teams help out on this.

Graincoin. As many as there will be people on the face of the planet to feed.

I keep getting blkindex.dat error when downloading and launching 1.2. Furthermore, my 1.1 doesn't seem to sync anymore unlike other people.

Suggestions will be welcome.

Did Satoshi premine bitcoin? The community was quite closed, so I think he did.

If you can't stay with it then just quit.

I just started to mine this coin as I just read the announcement. So, everyone who started before me did a premine in relation to me?
