I just tried solo mining with a Radeon 5850 card getting 320kH/s - my cgminer is saying "Found block for pool 0!" but am not getting accepts. I checked the wallet, still on block 43551 - this message came up a couple more times, then I get a REJECTED ...
The debug.log file showed only the reject as follows:
BitcoinMiner: new block found hash: 0000000289575a1100c858f3b302c6e56795a0a68240aa5b92f6f08b90ec5537 target: 0000000362c00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 CBlock(hash=0000000289575a1100c858f3b302c6e56795a0a68240aa5b92f6f08b90ec5537, ver=4, hashPrevBlock=36f0fe774d3cf8e7256f2c3cdf7f0c14ecfe6563306d2b72163873165de40c78, hashMerkleRoot=102f67309ec2f273da5def5956b9576addd88a6b2396c57d9eeff5a6adcab481, nTime=1387916134, nBits=1d8362c0, nNonce=1570598144, vtx=1, vchBlockSig=3046022100f7dcf994aaba301b6fbb2776ddaf13ae25f3c57a0a56d4cf07ea987324e228dc022100b628010c3b4c1fc29cee1587c60db3a14e174f7f23599dad192697b7e25b948b) Coinbase(hash=102f67309e, nTime=1387916040, ver=1, vin.size=1, vout.size=1, nLockTime=0) CTxIn(COutPoint(0000000000, 4294967295), coinbase 0320aa000110062f503253482f) CTxOut(nValue=1163.00, scriptPubKey=02083c6df2de9a7ff8bdf12a8f9e65a63019fb59fbad38c8b8a74d9332396b3f9d OP_CHECKSIG) vMerkleTree: 102f67309e generated 1163.00 ERROR: CheckProofOfWork() : nBits below minimum work ERROR: CheckBlock() : proof of work failed ERROR: ProcessBlock() : CheckBlock FAILED ERROR: BitcoinMiner : ProcessBlock, block not accepted

I think maybe after this chain gets longer than the old one your old wallet will just work again. don't quote me on that though, im no expert on how this all works. for now if u dl the new fixed version it seems to be working good, make sure u follow all the steps.

did you follow all the steps from directions a few pages back? you need the new fixed version of wallet to get on the right chain. 41055 blocks right now

addnode=66.187.67.233 addnode=72.20.18.200 ok the PoW mining is back... if you can not sync with addnode above, you need to download this file here, please read the following before you download the file: https://mega.co.nz/#!Mk1HzYpA!eeddQXV3DvRHNbSMLeVuLycfde8sm5mFH-qtlEgxUQAThis is a big zip file (31.7M), which contains 3 parts: - A Blockchain directory which contains the correct blockchain. - A file main.cpp, that contains the above code change. - A windows qt client (grain-qt-withblock38847reject.exe), contains the above change. If you can not sync with addnode, the first thing you should try is to replace the blockchain. This is what you do: 1. Quit qt client. 2. Go to Grain config dir. create a new directory (for example called oldchain), move the database dir, blk0001.dat, blkindex.dat files to the new dir you created, then move these files from Blockchain in the downloaded unzipped file, to config dir. This way you can always go back to your old chain if anything happens. 3. Now start grain-qt-withblock38847reject.exe, always with the addnodes as above, you should sync and then start to mine.Let me know if anyone has issue. Good mining

everyone mining grain be sure to keep your grain and only sell it if you have to or are getting a good price.
I think there is a good chance for GRA to become a good coin in this market, we just need to contribute as we can to help the coin grow.
one thing everyone who holds a stake can do is be sure to check up on GRA thread when you get a chance. we should get more information coming as it grows, and have website, etc. when there is GRA news be sure to reply on it so the thread gets more exposure. and always post supportive comments when there is an issue resolved or good news, more positive replys shows that the community is strong and GRA is a solid coin.
your small positive feedback can help your own stake in GRA become more valuable!
I think so far bosian is doing a great job and fixed the coin quickly, it shows that we can rely on devs to keep GRA going strong.
thanks to everyone who is supporting GRA already, my grains salute you!
I agree mate +1 I will send bounties to supporters, and will start a new round of giveaway once the dust of blockchain settles (almost there) I've been in the Graintrain silently since the beginning and tbh, it's refreshing to see devs that actually work with the community. There is so many shitty coins lately with devs that don't really see any effort. Cheers to you Bosian! Keep up the good work yer doin'. - Zera Yea I also joined the Grain train 2nd day after launch and it's the only thing I mine now. Only mining with 1x Geforge GTX R9 290 and only when I ain't doing something else with the PC like playing something (it is my gaming PC after all). Mined Litecoin and Feathercoin and some other minor coins but this is by far the best and the only coin I will be mining now. Really good to see dev has devotion for this coin. May the future be bright for us!

Let's hope will be getting some more pools soon now that we lost 1 (grain.altminers.com). Or is there any info on them if they might be going up again?

Thanks Jollyburner, I am running the fixed qt file with the downloaded blockchain. It is at block 41133 but says there are 1222 blocks or so to go, but I guess this is ok as it is? Or should I remove my peers.dat file and start it again?
[Edit] Ok - decided to remove my peers.dat file then started the wallet again, after a few minutes - I get a green tick - synchronized!
[Edit2] Now back to saying a couple of thousand blocks to go, so I guess this is as good as it gets.

does any1 know if the stake that shows in your wallet show a separate balance from the main balance?
or is Stake: xxxx showing a portion of total that is currently active for stakes generating?
eg Balance: 500 000 Stake: 50 000
do I have 550 000 coins? or 500 000?
You have 550 000 coins, the stake will mature and add to your balance (pretty much like mined coins) howcome I have so much stake? how much am I supposed to get? im getting like huge numbers in there, 1% of my balance, is that correct? I don't think I understand the stake system very well. **edit* maybe its showing the amount of my grains that are generating stakes? im just getting peppered with little payouts of 50 grains and 20 grains and so on. The coins in your wallet generates PoS blocks based on "coin-days" you have. Will there be an update on the Wallet with this fix and when?
There's no need for new wallet. Once the new blockchain caught up with the old one, the old client can be used without any problem. I will release a new version later, with more checkpoints to enforce the correct blockchain and make the coin more secure.

OK here are the list of people who will each receive a bounty from Grain Dev Team! You are the core of this community, we are very proud that we have a great community that supports us during an unexpected difficult time of the coin. Now the issue is about to be resolved completely. We reward our supporters! Those people on the list please either PM me or post your wallet address here. The bounty is of undisclosed amount and varies, but all I can say is that you will be very happy For all the rest, don't worry, we will open a generic public giveaway after Christmas (won't have time during the Chistmas ).
