There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

In the real world its called: Market manipulation.

Put up a massive sell-wall , 30 BTC is enough for doge at .120 for example, but also make a massive buy wall at .090
Price will drop as fast as you can watch, you buy back at .090 and bild small sells at .100+ and raise your buy-wall steady up and up.
Everybody thinks its going up and you make 10-20% easy in minutes.

Can anyone somehow explain who "controls" the dips and ups... I mean... What happened now when it all came down to 115 from 140 ?? ... Diff didn't change ? .. What else ? I don't get it ...

Cryptsy feels very unsafe, what if their servers crash and people lose their coins?!

I think they are just slow because of everyone trying to get there doges in there.  My deposits have been working no problems, they just take FOREVER.

Define "Forever", over 14 hours?

Please everyone post how long it took to deposit on crypsty since the price was 79 yesterday. About 8:30 EST. It was half-time during the seagulls/49's. I sat watching the stupid transactions instead of the second half. I'm a fucking retard. I think this shit ain't for me.

Edit: Such Ignore! I must have 20 spammers and haters on Ignore now!

14 hours does seem long,  It seems to depend on how busy cryptsy is, and how much transaction fee you pay in your wallet.  My last deposit took 4 hours yesterday.

Today has been one hour so far.

When ppl read all this BS its gonna be 50 satoshi etc etc

It will make ppl dump and the more that dump the lower we go and if it goes below 100 it will just keep dropping

And it could be along time to get it back over 100

A Singaporean trader called wolong (a real trader it seems), who is managing money from investors, is pumping and dumping in the Dogecoin market. Bumpy ride ahead...

buy orders are disappearing within seconds, and placed at much lower values. We could break under 100 again in minutes if it continues that fast...

I don't see any crash going on right now, but sure, I don't really expect it to maintain this value for the rest of the day.

No reason to "save" a coin from dropping. If a coin wants to drop, it's going to drop - pretty simple. The demand can't keep up at 150, so it will likely go back down to 100.
