Can anyone shed some light on these constant drip fed sell orders on cryptsy at all?
2014-01-07 08:27:28 Sell 0.00000027 1905.93920000 0.00051460 2014-01-07 08:27:28 Sell 0.00000027 2018.15490000 0.00054490 2014-01-07 08:27:28 Sell 0.00000027 2176.04612000 0.00058753 2014-01-07 08:27:28 Sell 0.00000027 1653.79894000 0.00044653 2014-01-07 08:27:27 Sell 0.00000027 1710.19920000 0.00046175 2014-01-07 08:27:27 Sell 0.00000027 1632.44572000 0.00044076 2014-01-07 08:27:27 Sell 0.00000027 1648.45060000 0.00044508
Orders like this have been flooding in for at least the last 2 days now (probably more), sometimes at a rate of a dozen per second, all at around about the same value. I mentioned this a few days ago and someone said it was people trading between the different values on the various exchanges but they continue to pour in even when the value is the same across vircurex, bter, cryptsy etc?
We all mock and complain about cryptsy but i dont know how the hell their site even manages to run when its getting hammered on their API with automated trades like this. Why is this coin seemingly being played so hard with these auto trades of small values whilst most others aren't?

yes this is main cryptsy problem..its made by purpose to block "normal" traders

I think these are miners or multipools doing auto-sell on deposit.

that simply looks like a multipool dumping coins. I suspect they do the smaller amounts instead of all at once to be able to constantly query the current value of the coin and try to pull a better price for them (so if the coin suddenly spikes to 40 satoshis they dump the later batches at 40 instead of a single big batch at 27). Of course that's my opinion, might or might not be how they work.

I think these are miners or multipools doing auto-sell on deposit. Does that mean if Dogecoin WAS NOT on Cryptsy then multi-pools couldn't exploit it?

Im pretty sure its not a multipool. For 1 i dont see why theyd sell in such tiny amounts when they must mine millions in next to no time. And also:

Because Middlecoin might trade for each individual account instead of a lump sum?

It's middlecoin, altpool etc that auto trade.

Multipool is currently on WDC and i see no similair pattern there. actually 1. miners have to wait for confirmations from pool till they get paid 2. there is some Auto Threshold on multipool.us every miner can set to *something* accordingly to their hashpower i guess 3. even then there is a time to wait for confirmations for withdraw from pool/deposit to Cryptsy 4. there are different rules for Auto-Sell feature on Cryptsy (you can sell now or put it on best price for example) ...so sometimes those who sells just comes all in one second that's how it looks for me
