ASICs are only a few weeks away and will pump out coins at a fraction of the cost to the GPU miner. GPU miners will be forced to point there rig towards other coins, either Scrypt-jane (Vert, Cach, Panda.......) or SHA-3 (Max.....).
You seem misinformed. Scrypt ASICs have been out in the wild for quite some time now. They're not something to be worried about. They're more efficient watt/kh, but have yet to rival cost/kh of GPUs. They probably will at some point, but not at the same scale ASICs did for BTC due to the nature of the scrypt algo. Finally, even when they push GPUs out of the scrypt market, all they'll do is ensure network stability because of the investment made in this hardware. ASICs didn't kill Bitcoin, in fact, they secured the network and made the barrier for attacks like the 51% attack very high and costly. Average joe already is getting only pennies on their GPU when compared to those with dedicated rigs. This is perfectly fine as the coin matures.

No, large GPU rigs already did. And that's okay. there is also others algo for gpu, gpu will never die...
That doesn't concern Dogecoin, and that's okay too.

That doesn't concern Dogecoin, and that's okay too. i'm talking about sha256, you can't mine with gpu there... and this is why doge and litecoin are doomed, large gpu farm are a problem yes, i agree, but not as a bad as asic when they will be good at scrypt coin too(now they aren't that much better than gpu...)

You seem to be reading the exact opposite of what I'm saying. GPU farms are not a problem. ASICs are not a problem. ASICs are good for a coin. Sure, they're bad for small time miners, but that's irrelevant for the health of a coin. It just means scrypt coins are getting a larger backing and more investment. Scrypt ASICs means there will be reliable miners for years to come, and not be at the mercy of GPU farms that can jump algo at a whim.

Only 140 satoshi... I think I'm going to have to sell all my DOGE before value drops even further Pretty scary... I'm an early miner, got in at the beginning and never sold any, saw all the price fluctuations, and it's getting harder and harder to hold. I don't get why it's so low knowing that it's still SUPER active, really "out there", more and more use, more and ore users, less and less coins... STILL GONNA HOLD !!!!!

^ not necessarily, all paper money is a clone of each other. More than 1 currency works. Money is worth more the more its traded and distributed. If everyone just bag held all their cash because they see in the morning that the dollar is going to rise by the end of the day.... Guess what, by the end of the day the money would be worthless.

Looks like the USD is falling as well, so DOGE and BTC are related to this fall.

Only 140 satoshi... I think I'm going to have to sell all my DOGE before value drops even further Yeah, you do that, I did the same several months ago, kicked myself when I saw the price rise! No sir, selling is the most stupid thing you can do know, just hold and price will eventually go up again, you just got to believe!
