Have you seen even one sr or hero member proposing to change the distribution or algorithm to attract miners?
In fact, I have, and some are even working on their own coins to improve on bitcoin's flaws. What do you mean by that exactly? Senior or hero member in forum terms is a conservative person who has a nice stash of bitcoins and they'd rather not do anything and just watch their bitcoins appreciate indefinetely. Not gonna happen. Sooner or later something's gotta give. Stay alert and be prepared, no need for a rude awakening here if you can proactively take care of that individually researching and diversifying into a few alts of interest. Luckily, some senior and hero members understand the implications of inertness and work to address various issues. oh wait, you said, 'to attract miners'? no, I meant correcting bitcoin's flaws, they propose and act. Some of them. Why don't you read my post better or twice before writing down 7 line that had nothing to do with the discussion. So , I repeat! Have you seen even one sr or hero member proposing to change the distribution or algorithm to attract miners? No. I never seen that. Please not repeat, will you? We all love dogecoin. If I wouldn't be a doge holder I woldn't be here too. But i'm not going to remain silent while this coins is changed just to please some miners who want to make $ while they sleep with their videocards running. The coins were not about mining profits but about something else , that is about to get forgotten.

Duuuuude, I never said anything about pleasing miners. In fact, I've been saying to please investors, not miners. But you can't please investors and just tell miners go to hell. There is a compromise and it is there: PoW/PoS or multiple PoW. In any case it's a win-win for both miners and investors as the security of the network is increased and 51% attack is no longer possible. That's all I am saying. PS: I don't mine, for the record, I have a couple of laptops, not gonna risk mining on them and not worth it.

I wasn't arguing directly with you , I perfectly understand what you have said. You just gave the example of what can be changed and that's why I voiced my opinion. And yes! You can tell miners to go to hell , but some of them will still mine cause it's profitable. When they won't if the coin can't survive , why bother saving it , it's a clear failure. Coin 2.0.

Coin 2.0. It can be revived pretty easily. It just has to be marketed towards the proper groups. The problem is that it's a community effort and if people give up now it won't go anywhere. Posted From bitcointalk.org Android App

There wouldn't be any necessary exchanges ir conversions. It would be a pretty easy system to implement. Posted From bitcointalk.org Android App

That is, community remains our core value. I put in my vote! I wonder why they didn't just go with Doge though instead. "McDoge" sounds better than "McDogecoin."

Voted too. Probably because McDogecoin make people wonder what is Dogecoin. and Doge would just refer to a dog, and not something a lot of people would love to eat

And it's not doggy, it's dough-jee (as was brought up a couple weeks ago). It'd be awesome if McDonalds would also accept Dogecoin for the burger, even if for nothing else but the promotion.

yeah I know it's dough-jee, but people not familiar with that at all would see Doge in the menu and might just think it's a misspelled dog meat burger or something Can only dream of McDonalds accepting Dogecoin now, perhaps next year

It'd be all over the news and then someone could clarify it and it would have a viral effect. That would be MASSIVE.

You're right, except for the fact that McDonalds wouldn't allow such an ambiguous name to be listed, because it's them who would have to explain after perhaps some lawsuits that customer didn't realize they were eating dog meat haha... but it could slip by someone busy and get in too

I don't know how this community (or Reddit) says "dog-e", but on the first NASCAR race the announcer (and the driver) clearly said "dough-j" not dough-jee. I was surprised, but that is what they said. So...

The entire situation leads to questionable results, and neither of the names are really that "good" for this purpose.

It always amazes me that people think this coin will actually succeed... People can't even figure out how to say the name lol. Not to mention the faulty distribution model, and resultant declining network security. Doge was a joke guys... It'll be over this year.
