If you want to secure your bitcoin there are two is one ways to keep safe it.
1. Online wallets.
2.1. Hardware wallets.

If you chose  number one you have to take some steps for keep safe your bitcoin.
1. Take a very heard password.
2. Keep your password in a very secure place.
3. Don't save your password in online.
4. Activate two step authentication.
5. Don't share your password to any one.

If you chose number two you have to pay some money for keep safe your bitcoin but i think this is better to keep your bitcoin in a hardware wallet. It is more safe then any online wallets...

For your help i give some trusted hardware wallets link.
1. https://www.shiftcrypto.ch/
2.https://www.ledgerwallet.com/
3.https://opendime.com/
4.https://trezor.io/
5.https://tangem.com/

So now its your choice that how to keep safe your bitcoin now.......😊😊😊😊😊

Your ever😊

Fixed that for you  Smiley
Offcourse, you forgot about airgapped cold wallets and paper wallets... They are as safe as a hardware wallet. Online wallets and exchanges do not belong in the same sentence as the word "safe", unless preceded by the word "not"

Seems about right.

5. Don't share your password to any one.

While I think that's excellent (or MANDATORY) advice in general, there's the "hit by a bus" problem.

Absolutely 100% people should have some plan in case they get "hit by a bus".

This may be sharing a password with your spouse or parents or children, or may be keeping it locked in a safety deposit box to be released by a lawyer in the event of your death.

Just imagine having 100 BTC, dying, and leaving no way for your family to get that BTC and be taken care of properly.

It really helps a lot to those who are new here. It is very important to secure and protect your wallet. Keep it away from thieves that are waiting to get a chance to get your hard earned coins. For me MEW is good as long as you really hide your pinkey in a safe place. I am using MEW until now and I made sure I never use it anywhere else. Changing MEW from time to time is what I am doing.

well its a good advice for newbie member in here about wallet and how to secure it, i want to suggest the new member in this forum that hardware wallet is better than online wallet, why? because as we can know that offline wallet or hardware wallet is hard to hacked, so if you have more money to buy hardware wallet you can try to use it to makes your bitcoin secure

That's awesome solutions tho, but I think the safest way to keep your bitcoin from the hackers is the security of your wallet must be very on high level,  you don't mess with your wallet account like telling your friend or even your family,  because sometimes you don't know the nearest person with you was your own trial.

Stay as much possible away from scammers, next think about the hackers. Because with the increasing popularity more and more scams were getting promoted. It's better to avoid those awful things than expecting good profit with those scams. To get away from hacks it's good to enable the wallets with the best security features available.

Its either you should withdraw your holdings if you try to hold it on your wallets it is very risky and since it can be accessed through anywhere I'd suggest changing passwords monthly or annually, and put a 2FA authorization key, therefore it adds more security if you have plans on holding it.

These wallet addresses are very helpful to me, and my suggestion is that if you have more money, you choose to use a hardware wallet so that you can protect your bitcoin most effectively.

Personally, I use only a paper wallet to store bitcoin for a long time. I don't know a safer way to store bitcoin. Paper wallet is not always convenient, but very reliable. For everyday use I have an Exodus wallet.

if the security of the wallet depends on how you keep your wallet. if you are careless it will be easy to be stolen by others. we have to prepare it carefully cooked before we save the bitcoin in our wallet.
