Always keep your password safe. Be lowkey. Don't go around saying that you own lots of cryptocurrencies and boasting about hownyou are good at it. The key to be safe is being invisible to the eya of hackers. Be lowkey.

To be able to keep your bitcoin safe from hackers, then you must be really careful and must have a really secured blockchain wallet to be able to not be hacked easily. Do not recklessly show and share your private key or password to someone. You will regret for not being careful when your bitcoin will be hacked. So keep safe.

Bitcoin has good sides and hackers are ready to take advantage of the ignorance of the people. Dont get it twisted that hackers always look for loopholes of the ignorant among crypto opportunist and take advantage of it.

Right, so let us be wise enough not to becime a victim of hackers. Best thing we do is make sure that no one knows your password and the gadgets that you are using such as cellphone will not automatically log in so that they can't touch , manipulate or get anything whatever you have in your account or wallet.

Do not click on links sent in emails.

Google ads had "poison ads" sent by hackers which resulted in $50,000,000 theft. Be careful of google advertisements
Don't share your private information with others. Always keep your password safe, and ofcourse about that different ads that may hack your account.

I disagree. A 3rd method is to keep your wallet on your computer (this is not the same as an online wallet). Github downloads are usually okay.

The smart thing people do is save the bitcoin address where their bitcoin is stored on a offline hard drive wallet and not keep it in some online wallet, this may not be the most ideal solution for daily traders but for long term investors it is the safest way to keep it away from any hacker.

All you can do is using a hardware wallet or a good wallet and always install updates to fix previous issues and vulnerabilities.
Also use a good anti virus on your computer to remove malwares and Trojans.
Keep your passwords and private keys safe and save them in a place where no one can reach them.

I think this is good information. Because most people in this diforum need to learn about wallet security. And also share about this science. So hopefully this can be useful for the users of this forum and also the beginners who do not yet know. Certainly will be a positive value for us all.

five precise security steps. I add a few suggestions, bookmark the important websites that you often open to avoid phishing websites. Also do not use wallet exchange to store your assets in large quantities, because it is very vulnerable to hacking exchange lately.

You forgot about keystores. We have well known keystores that are just as secure as hardware wallets. You can have keystores on myetherwallet.com. I actually like MEW better than others because it's pretty easy to use. You'll never regret ever hiding your tokens there.

I just want to add another one which is keep your bitcoin safe from exchanges. We don't really know if the exchange is really our ally or our enemy because they are just the money after all. Protecting our assets from our hacks is not their first priority but it is to get much more volume and that is why some huge exchanges are getting hacked.

I will choose offline wallet or it is better to use the other wallet than for using online wallet because it's more secure for me and I can directly to check everytime I want. besides that, I don't have to be worry or afraid for being scam, hacking and others because, with hardware wallet, I feel my safety is guaranteed except if I lose the hardware wallet and I don't know the private keys.

I think that although bitcoin trade may be with absolute security, it is not safe to assume that the government is not sponsoring or having any bitcoin-related interventions or rules. That's why I think it's very difficult to keep the bitcoin safe so you can split your bitcoin to other places so that you can minimize the risk.
