Does anyone know how to set the scan time on the miner?

On the config.json file you can edit this option. Set the time frame you wish (in seconds) by changing the parameter "print-time".

Just to letting you know dev that I'm running new miner v2.6.2.0 win64 but still experiencing "duplicate share"  sometimes.  Wink

Hello! if you successfully updated webchain-miner to its 2.6.2.0 version, you are not having "duplicate share" issues, which in the past would have caused you a connection reset.

It might happen that you see the message while mining, but don't worry, it won't cause any effect.

As for the difficulty,
do I gain more depending on the difficulty?
Example:
web-ko1.gonspool.com:3333 (korea) diff 10000
web-ko1.gonspool.com:33331 (korea) diff 1000
web-ko1.gonspool.com:33332 (korea) diff 5000
web-ko1.gonspool.com:33333 (korea) diff 25000
web-ko1.gonspool.com:33334 (korea) diff 50000

diff 50000 gives you more coins?

Adoniso, yes it gives more coins but less frequently, you will earn the same on each difficulty, but it influences only frequency of the payout.

Well explained actinio, thanks for your collaboration. I'd only add that saying "it gives more coins" isn't totally true.. It depends on how long you mine.

What is "duplicate share"?
What is the problem?

If your miner accidentally finds a share that has already been submitted by your co-miner, this share will be marked as a duplicate and rejected by the pool. In the previous version, the pool would go further and terminate yoour connection.

Connectivity issues are the most common reason for this to happen.

Our new release added the solution to this issue and now duplicated shares can't be submitted. You can always check your account's stats to confirm accepted/rejected shares.

Good project! A friend told me to check because he finds it interesting and it is actually very interesting. Projects supporting CPU mining are good as long as they find ways to reduce GPU mining advantage over the others.

Nice comment! As we've mentioned in previous comments, one of our goals is to reduce that advantage that GPU miners have over CPU miners in as much as possible.

How long do you think it will be possible? I own common CPU power devices and at the beginning it is usually good to use CPU and over time it goes down...

It's not a matter of time. The difference between CPU and GPU mining isn't that big on webchain. So it isn't highly profitable to invest in GPU to then realize it wasn't worthy. We bet on CPU mining.

interesting project.

Thanks! It's turning more interesting for devs and users as new things are developed and added to our roadmap. Take a look at the Whitepaper in case you hadn't.

Webchain has a new temporary pool http://pool-backup.webchain.network/ it's a new pool with fresh DB (empty).

Don't worry, old pool will be back soon. We're just making sure to offer a safe, working and profitable pool.

Why do you think this coin will be big being mined by CPU?
Does this currency depend on this?

It looks like webmining could be the future, but there are already a few other projects like that out there. How does your differ from them?
