Why people want ETH to over come BTC

many new coins raise funds through ether . these funds are ether . so people hope that the price of ether will rise . the ether transfer costs are lower than bitcoin . it is more convenient to exchange it for cash .

Of course many reasons why many users want ETH beat bitcoin, and if compared the speed then it can be ascertained that ETH is faster than bitcoin, while from the security side then all ETH wallet equipped with private key so easy to control ETH.

It is not about wanting Ethereum to overtake or overcome Bitcoin. Both are in the crypto space where there are lots of competition, but i do not see this happening except we want to deceive ourselves. Bitcoin is already being accepted in places where Ethereum is not yet accepted.

Ethereum is the obvious choice here since it is the most popular altcoin and has maintained its 2nd ranking for a long period of time. Other reasons are features like smart contracts etc which give Ethereum an edge over Bitcoin. Am an ardent supporter of Bitcoin though.

But in the long run those tokens will be traded to bitcoin as well, and people are waiting to see those ICO to be successful and become a good investment where it can be competitive to other coins, so there's no sense, ETH is a platform for new tokens but still bitcoin is the main basis of the value of each coins that will be brought out from this industry.

I think because of the cheaper price of Ethereum, that's they choose it over Bitcoin, also they choose ETH for having potential and have future and also profitable of it, same as with bitcoin.
