Why people want ETH to over come BTC

Why some people want the Ethereum to over come Bitcoin in the near future? Is it because they make profit from ETH or what?

there are many factors, besides that ethereum is faster in terms of cheap transactions and fees. but it will be very difficult to happen especially in the near future, because after all bitcoin has been tied to the market. this is why bitcoin position is very hard to beat

Ethereum has future smart contract technology it's advance block chain technology. Ethereum platform scalability is better than Bitcoin block chain system and very speed transaction low transaction fees compare with bitcoin.

I dont know. I do not think that the ethereum is able in principle to displace or replace bitcoin, perhaps some new, stronger and more promising coin and will be able to do it, but certainly not in the near future. It is difficult to predict the future of Ether and Bitcoin

In terms of business, BTC prices are much higher than ETH so if ETH is sold beyond BTC price then the profit will be greater. As we know that --

whenever there is a congestion the whole ethereum network is crippled and medium cost of a transaction goes up just like bitcoin. it has reached up to $4 in the past.
besides if transaction fee is all you care about then go use literary any other altcoin, they are all with much lower fee because nobody ever uses them. or better yet go use one of those 100% free coins like NANO with always 0 fees.

being a coin like Bitcoin is the desire of all existing Altcoin. so many are racing to follow Bitcoin. such as Ethereum which has such an increasing development that many enthusiasts join. these enthusiasts continue to support Ethereum to become number one and pass Bitcoin.

Its a no for me but there are people want it to happened, I think they might holding big amount of token or eth itself, they might also consider how innovative Ethereum is, hopefully eth will reach better price but bitcoin started it all so BTC deserves much better.
