Also can someone explain this to me. Is stratum the host?
And username is that just the name of my worker or also my weblogin first

Yes you can use guiminer.  Just put in the host stratum+tcp://lot.cipherpool.com In the port put 8837. the rest is self explanatory.  If you have yet to create a "Worker" on the pool click "My Workers" on the pool site. then add a worker.  It will be for example
If you add the worker 1 with password x it would be the following

Code:

Host: stratum+tcp://lot.cipherpool.com
Port: 8837
Username: Fraxinus.1
Password: x

If you are using Reaper with GUIMiner then you want to first create a proxy to the following

Code:

Host: lot.cipherpool.com
Port:8837
Extra Flags: (BLANK)

and then create a Reaper miner with the following details

Code:

Host: localhost
Port: 8332
Username: CIPHERPOOL.USER
Password: CIPHERPOOL PASSWORD

How can I tell if my solo mining is working? Is it worthwhile to solo mine this with 650khs?

yes please use a pool. 650kh/s will take you many hours to get one block, better use a pool to get smooth and consistent payout.

Did you create a worker in cipherpool? You need to create a worker and use that, you can't just use the username you use to login to the pool.

Fraxinus open up "GuiMiner-scrypt" make sure its the scrypt version. then click File > New Miner > Stratum Proxy

After that insert the following details

Code:

Host: lot.cipherpool.com
Port: 8837

Now once again click File > New Miner > Reaper

Insert the following details

Code:

Host: localhost
Pass: 8332
Username: CIPHERPOOLUSER.WORKERID
Password: WORKERPASS
everything else: Fill it in like you normally would do.

Just make sure you use GUIMiner-SCRYPT else its trying to mine for SHA256 coins. instead of scrypt coins

If you selected 'server other' then you are not using the GUI miner scrypt version.

Holy cow thats slow as christmas.  You must have a pretty bad video card.  I mean you can keep mining on it while the difficulty is still kinda low and stack up some coins but its really up to you.  that is pretty low for a hashrate.
