wish cryptsy or coinedup or SOMEONE would pick this one up... Undecided

It will be at some point. Right now it's being a bit overshadowed because Doge blew up right after this came out but it still got almost 20k views and 52 pages of interest in less than a week. I'm confident somebody will pick it up fairly soon.

good protection could/should have been installed after first DDoS showed the weakness of actual protection and data security?!

Good Protection HAS been installed after the first DDoS.  the issue is alot more serious then a simple little problem.  I have been informed by my hosting provider that the DDOS Attack on the 12th was more then 100 Terabytes of data received in a 4 hour period of time.  They literally fried the routers at my hosting provider.

that is ~7 Gbps DDos volume. Shouldn't fry anything. Ofc slow down and such but defo not fry or crash routers. I assume your hoster should have atleast 30Gbps uplink? Then its hardware should be easily able to handle it. if not: change your hoster Smiley

Edit: btw 7 gbps is indeed a massive DDoS O_o to compare, the one that made my hoster shut down my server last week to protect their network was 2gbps

dude 7gbps is a lot of bots
why would someone with that comp power even target a pool...
they can do so much more lol
anyway, the point is to filter out the 'bad' packets, find what is similar to all the ddos packets and just block them, together with some traffic filtering and other stuff it will reduce the risk greatly

Dont forget the trade thread for this coin can be found here:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=368910.0

There have been several active trades already and presents an opportunity for those without big hash power to get a stock of coins before this hits an exchange.  Smiley

wish cryptsy or coinedup or SOMEONE would pick this one up... Undecided

Cryptsy added 288 new coins today, some of which haven't even been developed yet, but they didn't add LOT Cry

That's because people have to fuck around and build their own lottocoind, instead of using one publicly available.
I'm telling this for few days now, to be serious - gotta go cross-platform. Oh, and there's mac too, right?

I can't say how many people in mining public has any development/techy background, but exchanges do need stable and out of the box solutions to plug coins in, and windows client only is not that.
We need cross platform or we won't go fast or far anywhere soon.

edit: and, yeah. General orientation for LOT value would be at least DOGE+ some% up as they both do come in same numbers, but this one does not have a grammar mistakes, dog pictures and such in Smiley

I also found some bugs in the Windows Wallet. I would love to help developing.
I will look into creating mac and linux binaries next.

I don't think cryptsy would really need precompiled binaries. But you are right. There should be more out of the box solutions.
We don't even have a good block explorer yet. The one hosted with coinbomb wasn't very helpful for me
