At the moment, still firmly holding on to mine. Been looking at several options and that is especially on altcoin trading because basically right now with btc strength, everything seems to look cheap and attractive to invest in. Might consider a short term investment. But definitely I won't be touching the whole stash that I have nicely tucked in, only a small amount will do.

Being out of work for much of last year I was forced to sell some of my stash.  I have recently replenished what I had sold and was able to buy them for about half the fiat I sold them for.Smiley Wink Cheesy Grin

I plan to continue to accumulate as long as btc is under 300 and reevaluate when it goes over.

One instance where not holding has actually worked in favour of a long-term bull.  Smiley

It's a dangerous business, not hodling

I wish I had conditions to hodl.

But I don't have enough financial security to be sure that I won't need the money again soon, so hodling is not an option

I don't hodl too much either. I have set a value that I invested once a month since some time now. It's really not much that I used each month
but after some time it is. If things would go downhill with Bitcoin, it would not hurt me. So, I do not speak about very big sums that I invested monthly.
Hope you get a strategy too Smiley

I'm playing games and gambling a bit with small amounts, but whenever I get a nice little chunk, I set it aside and hodl.  I'll looking into selling perhaps when the price goes high again.  In the meantime, may as well scrape up small amounts and hodl.

I never gamble, only buy and hodl is the name of the game. Selling Bitcoin ever is objectively stupid. Why sell objectively superior currency for objectively inferior currency?

because the inferior currency dictates the current price of the superior currency you're referring to.

Well. I submitted hodl to urban dictionary with the following definition:

hodl: A long term commitment to uncompromisingly retain possession of a thing without regard for any changes in sentiment or market conditions.

And the following example:

I know ill end up shooting myself in the foot if i try to day trade my bitcoins, so I'm hodling. I'll check back on price when it's time to retire.

They rejected it. I don't know why. If someone else wants to try to resubmit it, go for it.

That's an awesome definition! Why did they reject it???

I think I would change "thing" for "currency"or something similar, if you mention market conditions after.

They probably rejected it because they didn't understand it.

seems reasonable to people at the left side of the bell curve but eternally frustrating people on the right.

Good definition! You can submit it to urban dictionary Smiley

haha ok i tried it, lets see if it gets accepted.

That's my dilemma.
I hope we have a rise in not to much time, would love to sell a bit so that I'm able to hodl for longer after Smiley

You don't have to hodl all your money. Just hodl a little that you can afford. It's nice to have some money in savings and especially in such a currency as btc which can dramatically rise at any time (though I suppose the opposite is also true  Cheesy)

I think you may misunderstand. I added a new definition for democracy. They steadfastly refuse to accept hodl....

You correctly understood my misunderstanding.

It doesn't seem like I'll be able to get more btc under $300, I hope I'm wrong as I need more to hold.

Seems legit. 'Cause in the end, most democrats are actually anti-capitalist communists.
They don't aprove of hodling, for sure Sad

Now that I'm committed to my bitcoin startup, I have a reason to HODL until June at least! In fact, this will be my quiet accumulation period if nothing else exciting happens  Cheesy
