Now in sales is 4 chip version of HEX8A
130 GH/s with regular heatsink profile and pair of 2000 rpm fans

http://technobit.eu/index.php?id_product=62&controller=product&id_lang=1

Marto this 4 chip board is it gonna be powerd by 2 x pci-e or 1x pci-e ?
on the website it says "2(1) x 6 pin PCI-e power conectors @ 12 V"

my thought also, if i`m not mistaken 1 pci-e can do 150+watt that should be enough, but the pictures was a little confusing, both models 260GH & 130GH show the same pictures on the website.

but thanks Zich for answering my question

If it's half the power range on my Hex8A1-260GH's they'll be somewhere between 182-204W @ 130GH! (unless Bitmine revised A1 the chips)
Which is no more efficient than the Hex16B GH/W but is about 3x cheaper €/GH.
But don't worry 6-Pin PCI-E can do way more than 75W, at least mine can on 18AWG rated wires.

There is some mix in the picture, but i found picture with small heatsink using one PCI-e power connectors  Grin
Actually each wires on PCI-e power connectors can stand up to 10 A. So total is 30 X 12 V = 360W  Smiley

not to question your wisdom Zich Grin but doesn`t that deppend on how many amps your psu can give?
i`ll explain the situation , i bought this psu from a college from work for €15 it a recom pe-m500 500 watt (new in a box never used) , atm it is only powering 1 hex16a2 and 3 case fans.
It has 2 rails of 20 amps, it has some molex & sata connectors etc.. & 1x pci-e 6+2 connector , what i was wondering if i could connect an hex8a1 (4 chips) to this psu without being afraid than 1 day i come home and find my computer room on fire

specs of psu:  what do you think ? i think it wouldn`t be a problem to connect a hex8a1 4 chip

Should be able to run one on that, 2 would be pushing it to breaking point only has 384W of 12V, unless you underclocked them or bitmine make a later batch of A1 chips that are more efficient.

Sorry about that Gator.
Specially for customers like you we are finishing now 4 chip version with normal heat sink and fans.
I hope it will be stable @ 130 range  with nice 2-3w fans.
The damn chip is sooo power hungry

Update in Monday

Marto,

Im still waiting for my hex16b, anyway to convert this to 130 GHs HEX8A1, difference wil be in your advantage.

Order ref is CGRYKKXCD can i change this to a Hex8A1 either 130GH(you can keep the difference for inconvenience) or 260 GHS (i pay the difference). If not can you give an ETA of when original order will ship please
Thanks

Got my board delivered Smiley

Can someone tell me, which cgminer version i should use, or is it necessary to use the tplink router whith the hex8a1?

greetz

Get cgminer 3.12.3, patch it with the patch from technobit.eu, compile with option --hexminer8 and run.

I have a bunch of old PCs, I saw no point in buying the router when a PC can do the job better (I can run bfgminer on it for my BFL device and do other stuff if I want to).

Take care to use the same PSU to power the board and the PC.
