You could have the wallet on a different computer than the miner, that is how I do it. Then I can use linux for the wallet, compiled from source, then cgminer in the main computer. Its less risky to compile from source, if you can glance for anything evil. Its less likely they'll bother putting in a root kit into the wallet software on github, that would be pretty ballsy if someone did that and would be discovered pretty quick. Smiley

I've never compiled a coin from scratch. What sort of environment is needed on Windows? Will Dev-C++ (MingW) work?

If you have to ask, you don't have the experience to compile the dependencies and the coin.

Everyone starts with no experience, hence the question. I have ample C++ experience on both Windows and Linux though. I realize this was perhaps not the best place to ask, but I figure I'll make this coin my starting point. But I can always do my research elsewhere.

Well yes but first you need a pool for that. Also, everytime i looked up source files from Github i had no idea what to do with those files with a strange .ending (although the thought of safety had me interested)

There are plenty of tutorials for this for the litecoin wallet that will work interchangeably here since it's just a copy/paste coin.

T-minus 30 minutes or less to launching client Smiley

EDIT: I'm not fond of the .biz either, all other domains were taken and I was brought in a bit too late to try to convince them to start over with a new name, get the .com as it's paramount etc. but we made the best of it and grabbed the .biz

Did this coin start already?

Because choosing Saturday Night (at least where I leave lol) to launch a Coin is just poor evil...

We will have windows client ready at launch time. For other systems, you can compile from the source. Wink
