Good strategy! I like both cryptsy and coinedup! We should send e-mails to contact@coinedup.com and ask to add these coin. Everyone let's do it TOGETHER! Write something like this: "Hello, pls add EarthCoin to your exchange. This coin has a good community and devs. Look:https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=379236"

Just to clarify. Due to getting so many PM's there's now 3 of us on shifts looking after replies for various things in this account, we're doing our best to stay up to date with all. So - blockchain explorer: http://54.203.207.156/earthcoin/index.php and http://54.203.207.156:11234/ and http://earthchain.info/chain/EarthCoin < nice branding Great work! Not sure if we need two but I suppose it's good to have one as backup? We'd still like to get you guys to brand the first one closer to ours, grab the logo/coin and or I can make a header graphic for it, and perhaps make the background a closer blue to ours so there is continuity in the branding. Can those that worked on these blockchains please PM me we your eac addy and your roles? We asked for two of you but it looks like more outside help came in so we'd like to make sure everyone is happy. Thanks and PMed. Just use my sig addy. I'll keep the backup running for at least a couple of months, until I migrate to a real VPS or amazon credits run out. Also worked a bit on branding (more a programmer than a graphics designer here).

I voted on cryptsy, but I'm going to hold a lot of this anyway as I think this could have a really great long term future. I really like this coin - very professional looking, polished branding, and more importantly it's fast and the blockchain seems stable despite that - well done EAC devs.

I like this coin, when it will go to an exchange?
Hmmm no one can answer my question? Is there a plan? If you just had looked back a few pages you would had found your answer: Quote from: aleksand on December 24, 2013, 12:24:39 PM Go to cryptsy's feature request forum at https://cryptsy.freshdesk.com/support/discussions/topics/46049 and hit "like this idea" COME ON GUYS, WE CAN DO IT!!! We need exchange! I would rather it waited a few weeks Yea, a few more giveaways and services would be good before hitting an exchange.

Wow guys thanks for the comments We're trying hard and the team is finally able to breathe a bit since the blitz from launching (what a process, glad my college days were filled with all nighters and I can still do them!). We actually do NOT want to be on cryptsy, yet, that place kills coins and first user experiences faster than any exchange. I have a deep rooted love/hate relationship with cryptsy and have been there for a while now, have suffered from all their woe's and I trade big (still think btc-e is the best/safest/fastest/easiest for first users to get a good experience at) but that won't happen for a while if ever (we'll be damn sure trying!). I would hate to launch prematurely at C - it will just get a big spike and die out and have us competing with the rest of the dumped and struggling coins. < This may happen no matter what phase they pick us up at - but it would be much better if we had more adopters, coins out there, device apps ready, some publicity campaigns ready, videos up for noobs, etc. as this will ensure an easier journey post that first spike they all do. Please holdup on requesting cryptsy to list them any more. Reminder for bounty's. ** Shops to take us on for 'accepted here' buttons and banners - point them at GetEarthCoin.com - bounty will depend on size of your site/traffic/brand. ** Noob camtasia videos walking through downloading/installing/using EAC - need to have good presentation/voiceover/broadcast skills, need to speak perfect English, this will be used on the website and throughout our campaigns. ** I'm getting a voiceover script prepared in audio that will go over main points and will put it out there for any videographers that want to animate/string videos and pics together to go along with it. ** Due to the many concerns of online wallets we will not be approaching that task at this time. Once a few exchanges have us, and you have your desktop/laptop/device wallets, it should be enough. If we find there is a superior need to have one later, we may change our minds. ---- Investors. Thanks for the approaches - right now we don't need any. Project is going great, we'll put out a call if we need funding or have an opportunity to explore. Thanks!!

General Question...
Is / would it be possible to modify a crypto's attributes after launch... i.e. issue more coins (if needed), change from scrypt to something else, incorporate yet unknown new advances in technology, etcetera?
I'd imagine after so many years that what was once cool and modern (say bitcoin) can be outperformed by newer versions of itself... but for a currency to be accepted worldwide you want to be able to make it future proof...
Perhaps if you cant, or its too risky to make a change to the code at that level then a guaranteed exchange of lets say in the year 2020 from Earthcoin 1.0 to Earthcoin 2.0 (with new features) could be established, with an automated 1 to 1 payout from the earlier type to the other.
Apologize as this may not be the right thread, and I am not a programmer by nature... I've just been pondering the future of this coin long term... or any coin for that matter.
I'm concerned that Litecoin missed its opportunity to secure its place as a viable cryptocurrency because its doesn't have a business mind behind it ensuring widespread acceptance. I see that potential with Earthcoin.
2 years from now we may see Earthcoin with 4 Billion coins mined, a 8k+ difficulty, and a market cap of 4-6Billion USD. That would put the value of each EAC at around $1.25 each... right around the value of a Euro...
I see that price target potentially hitting at the same time we have widespread acceptance of cryptocurrency... with a name and successful marketing of Earthcoin it could prove more successful then Bitcoin...
But then what next... how does the coin continue to evolve?
Thoughts?

I think my above post I posted on page 79 may have been missed in the flood of posts that followed...
