Thats great!
Just as a comment... I would remove ecrypto.net from the main webpage. The site is down, and the creator probably ran out with our coins. Luckily just sent 100 for trying it lol
+1 good call, removed. No clue what to think of them yet, they left behind enough bread crumbs to potentially get caught redhanded so I dunno if they would be smart enough to just scam all coins and get away with it but I also wouldn't be surprised to see them try either. Is there any way you can help squiggle with his/her P2pool test? A few of us have been helping now but with no luck in finding a block
It's been suggested that we try to get lots of people throwing some power at it for a set time.
Juggling quite a bit here - see if you guys can simply message the pool owners or setup a time and start posting that time here as we get closer post more - can't guarantee it will work but I agree you guys should centralize it around a specific time and aim to attract as many as possible to hit it at once.

How's difficulty working for EAC? Loos like it just readjust itself after every block compared to the network hashrate, it's floating form 25 to 45 like the network hashrate, it's going up and down from 1.5gh and 3ghs

I'm one of the people helping to test this p2pool for squiggle (by sending my miners) - we could do with some more miners if anyone is willing to help out? I would have thought we would have found a block by now, hopefully soon so we can verify its functioning I know....I'm keeping the faith *fingers crossed* Well unfortunately guys I don't think we ever got the hashing power to find a block. If you want to keep mining to test I'd sure appreciate it but if you need to move on I understand. I'd really like to test the p2pool concept with some of these alt coins though. I really think p2pool has some advantages for the coin over standard coins. We should agree on a time/date when we concentrate lot of power and attack the issue simultaneously for a short period of time, better to do it that way than few people mining for 2 hours and quit and the next few mining the following hours etc imo. Great idea illodin! Will be switching back to another pool - sorry gave it a shot, but need to mine as much as possible with my little PC Do let us know if you decide to do it again at a set time

To take this discussion and effort to another post, I've created one here. I'd like to pull coordinated a test off of the p2pool modifications tonight if possible. I would also like to create a donation pot for all the people who participate so we can give them some motivation to try and make this happen. The EAC dev said he would contribute so I'd like to see that happen as well. Please see my post, so I don't hijack this thread with my efforts and distract from official EAC posts. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=389521.0

yes it is. I can see difficulty changes every new block on pool.. and it's also mentioned in first post of this thread.

So let's say hypotetically, EAC go huge and diff reach like thousands, if almost everybody stop mining that coin for a few, difficulty goes back around 0.* on the next block? (I don't even know if something like that can be true for BTC and LTC too for example)

(I don't even know if something like that can be true for BTC and LTC too for example) No, there's a limit how each block the diff can be varied, both upside and downside. It's about at double or half and not beyond it. Otherwise the coin is subject to easy attack, that people will make the diff oscillate wildly. For now if the diff is 10, say, and most people stop mining, the next will be around 5, then 2.5, then 1.3 etc, until it hits a balance (determine by the actual block time).

Looks like some growth is getting ready to happen on the exchanges. I've been watching literally constantly for the last day and a half and it looks like the low-sell orders have almost dried up. This is total speculation but I suspect that the miners and holders just looking to make easy profit margins above baseline pool switching have almost cashed out now. Even at 350-400 Satoshis, EAC would have in my opinion been one of the most profitable coins to mine.
Even at 400 satoshis, My measly 2.9Mhash has produced roughly 20K+/- EAC in the last 24hours. At 400 Satoshis, that is .0844 BTC. Or $65USD give or take. What is that, 3X+ better than LTC?
This is just my take on the numbers, I think EAC is set for some strong and constant gains for a while. Infact I think its basically inevitable looking at the prospects?

+1 I have some coins stuck on ecrypto.net I do hope it starts to work properly, because the interface is nice and we need new Exchanges, but i wouldn't recommend putting your $ there at this point. For now im going with Coinedup, and waiting to get more feedback on Coinex. Join #Earthcoin on IRC

Yep I think this is it, Not saying we will go to the moon, but I was instantly attracted to EAC, And I also view the premine as equity for the future developers. As a small business owner I have a respect for the foresight to try to some type of sustainable compensation to keep the business model alive. I think the nay-sayers just enjoying crapping on new coins. There is MUCH bigger and sustaining profits going long on any crypto than there is trying to make a quick buck on hype. I'm hoping most devs would prefer years of multi-million dollar payouts for they're efforts than to cash out for a couple hundred grand soon as it hits an exchange and dump the project. I think I would take EAC much less seriously if the dev's had no stake in it from day one.

That fact is- they have been incredibly involved and are using their EAC to build it up and build a Earthcoin community. Anybody could read the last 50 or so pages of the Lottocoin thread, then this, and see the difference between developers that care about their future and someone just looking to make a quick buck.
