Ah I am comfortable holding a few. That long post of the creator impressed me. They seem to be serious and have an idea about marketing  Smiley

Sorry but, just scroll a few lines up and you see that I did explain whats going on right now.
We are under a heavy ddos attack since this night. I will report back when we are online again.

poolerino down. Damn

I noticed whats up?  Im out a few thousand EAC at this point after discovering it late!

Thanks Mikellev,

I just scanned over 20 EAC pools,  at least 15-16 didn't even give me a response,  the few that did not give me confidence!   Someone is ON this coin right now.   I bet someone is dumping gobs of hashrate on it, while DDOS everyone else down.   Niiice.

Any recommendations?

Test is going strong. We're up to about 10MH/s. Please keep them coming if you're at all interested in seeing p2pool adopted for EAC.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=389521

Huh With that hash rate you should find roughly 1/300 of all blocks, which means 1 block every 2h 30 on average
Have you found anything?

1. Explain your anti ddos, must be a alien tech or something.

I do read lot of bs here in the forums, but telling ppl to search for a better pool, because the "weak" ones are not avail through ddos attack is one of the worst.

You got no clue at all what a ddos attack is or ?
Not one pool or webservice is 100% save against them. Only thing you can do is buy x thousand new ipv4 address for you servers. No problem, if you as a pool users are willing to accept 99% fee ?!

And please define "weaker" pool ?! We got for example 4 Servers, 2 with 6 cores and 64gb ram, 2 with 12 cores and 128mb ram just for database. Fully redundant running. Top 10 Hoster in Germany.
So if this is "weak", then I want to see YOUR pool if you should ever be able to set something like this up.

Attacks will keep happening every day, they already on to it again.

If your pool keeps going down try to go to a better one.
Lots of coins will be lost by staying on weaker pools.

Err ...
I do think ppl just like to give some hate for whatever reason, but ill humor you:

1 - I have no pool. I just check pools to tell ppl what are the better ones (THE ONES THAT WORK)
2 - The pool i mentioned is 0% Fee
3 - Its up since the first days and it did not crash once.
4 - I have no time to test all pools, i just keep going till i find a good one and stick to it. Unless it stops working properly.
5 - Im no pool expert and i dont care if pools have 4 servers, 1 server ou 100000000000 servers. Just need them to work and dont crash.
6 - Read 1 again. Unlike you, I AM NOT a pool owner

Someone is making a move on EAC,  not sure who, or how but I am starting to think this is where much of the Alt-crypto action is.   We've got massive DDOS across multiple pools pulling 1-2Gh/s (scrypt!) offline for extended periods and we have 20-40% 'hourly' price swings on the few exchanges EAC is listed on.

This feels like the good old BTC days again Wink

Huge DDoS all pools down or inefficient

start mining solo, solo mining = no DDoS + profit (low network hashrate due to down pools)

Price swings have probably nothing to do with DDoS. Price swings are because no volume at these crappy exchanges.

Yeah,  I fear with 3Mhs I am better off not trying to solo, regardless of how bad the DDOS is.

Solo mining not really gonna work properly at this stage.

For all i know there are 2 pools that didnt crash so far:

- http://earth.coinium.org/  -0% Fee
- http://hackshardgaming.net/ - 2% Fee

Maybe there are more, but those i know from experience that been working steady.

Well sounds like our pool.
0% fee, up since day 1

I just hope that the pool you talk about is not a victim of a ddos attack sooner or l8er, because then I have to read again from you how bad that pool was / is / will be....

Well this is new Smiley (for me)

My first view of this world: "Hey, it's decentralized, I've survived and battled big ddos' attacks for my sites, this world is decentralized so they'd have to attack a lot of assets".

Today's of view this world: "Oh...."

Pretty flattering on one end, and I guess I'm still noob enough to look at this with some awe, and what it means short and long term.

Someone is ddos'ing everyone (that's a pretty damn big effort, would have to be a group, a big one, no?) just so THEY can mine? Really? It's not to kill the coin, it's to get some of it?

fukt.

The exchanges fluctuating = the walls/volume overall is still a bit thin, 10BTC can take it in either direction pretty quick so I'd anticipate that often until more volume/other exchanges grab it. Then again based on all the surprises lately I'm just expecting the unexpected now.

That is pretty much it,  I'm starting to think sailing these seas is something we've groomed for our whole life, but did not discover until we first smelled that sweet scent of bitcoin.   You either dismissed it as stupid rubbish immediately.   OR you starting changing your life over it.       Now I think no matter how it goes, we are at the cusp of a new era of value-store and transmission and self-constructed markets that will help us break free into 'the next everything'.
