Let's all give a big thanks to WillBit for setting such a high price on the very first WTB.

This was on page 45, literally FIFTEEN MINUTES after the first block was mined.

Thanks asshole!

[WTB] 1000 Catcoins for 1 btc

The network tries to produce one block per 10 minutes. It does this by automatically adjusting how difficult it is to produce blocks.

Fibonacci is how i imagine scrypt fpga(asic). FPGA and MUCH memory with INSANE memory bus width for salsa20/8.
.....

It's remind me history with 3 cores AMD CPUs.

I did research and you won't buy ASIC directly they will run buisness more like CEX.io.
Starting price price per 1 khs is 0,9$ Cheesy so with rising difficulty i don't know if it is good choice really.
you need buy about 900khs unit or more. So you pay 800$ for 900 khs but lower power cost.
Now R9 290 hash 890 khs with 300W costs about 500$ 24h/365d give you 525$ on power cost.
But card after year you can sell for 250% so that 250$ ard price and you get ~800$ one year cost per card.
Better will be waith till they do 2nd -3rd generation of cards like with ASIC for Bitcoin.
And you will be scam free because many people lose their found of scams...

Litecoin makes dificulty +30% per month now if you add hash power all script units that ASIC is question able maybe.
ASIC for script will bring Smiley ascic race at the end of 2014 noone will use GPU for that coin but don't
worry time will come and new ultra coins will come not script based maybe will bring new revolution in coins mining.

Dogecoin will be almost ASIC free cause most 80% coins will be mined till ASIC will come.
In such situation such profit Cheesy many crypto in the world. That makes Doge superior some how.
Cats will share faith LTC Smiley in ASIC world.
ASIC overall are ok less power faster transaction in opposite side they kill attention to those coins.
Maybe i will jump to the train also ut i think someone will make new "type" of coin like "script 2.0".
And history will be back again. We will see. For GPU minig that next year will be interesting Smiley for sure.

Something's wrong with that price on coinmarketcap.

Last trade on coinedup was .00077745 BTC/CAT * $729.12/BTC = $0.5669 per CAT

As far as domesticated-animal-coins go, I'm all in on CAT with 4479.

Just read a bit more about ASICs but people have been saying GDDR6 is coming out in 2014 so in theory while the speeds sound good now, with the dif. increases and the hashrate etc they will earn less and with GDDR6 I heard that 1 GPU with GDDR6 vram on it might be able to do something like 2 M/hash for about £500 for the card (like a 7990 but with better VRAM)

So now I have heard that I ain't too worried about ASICs now XD

The first one looks like it's buying a lot of fake likes. I'd say go with the second.

As long neither are being scammy, there's no harm in having two, but if we're going to be using one to promote catcoin, then we need to pick one.

I think we also need to start raising social awareness of catcoin. This is how dogecoin exploded; it went onto social media, and became a trend. If there isn't one already, catcoin needs a twitter. I'm fairly active at the moment, and am keeping track of developments, so it's something I don't mind doing if someone needs to do it.

I think we need to start giving away CAT for likes on facebook to generate more social interest. The same thing that happened to Dogecoin can easily happen to Cat coin, provided it starts spreading on social media.

Another way we could do this is by doing a small thunderclap campaign; https://www.thunderclap.it/

Which is basically where facebook users sign up and then it posts an update on all their facebook pages at the same time. There are all sorts of ways we could be promoting Cat Coin, and if we genuinly want it to succeed then we need to rise above all the other altcoins and start promoting the hell out of it.
