The value of CATCOIN is in replacing the BITCOIN circle jerk with an equivalent coin over an algorithm that encourages better distribution of hashing power.
I will fork CATCOIN myself to stay as is if it changes. Not even joking.

BTC scheme not working with space rockets. It made fore SLOW growth. And without amount of hashrate for this difficulty it will slowly die (starting crysis). |

I very clearly stated that forking is extremely chaotic and extremely risky. If need be I will happily post a large block of CAT at a high sell price to prove that I am in fact invested heavily in this coin and not trying to drive down price. You are correct, forking leads to huge amounts of problems and undoes a lot of the gains we have made on the exchanges and such. It is a HUGE risk and I get that. I made that clear in my post. However right now, there is NO reason to mine CAT at all. They could simply mine DOGE, take that doge on an exchange and BUY cat if they really wanted cat. Hash rate wil continue to fall as more miners realize this. If block times get much higher than 15 minutes where it's at now, we are all in massive trouble. That is the ONLY point I am trying to make. Please don't get personal about this as I have been quite polite about this whole discussion. |

It is very clear now that after bringing the subject up, the community is mostly against changing the coin. As long as that remains true, then changing the coin (even if it improves it) will ultimately hurt the coin as the community becomes fractured. I really hope I am wrong and the hashrate death spiral I am predicting does not continue and continued promotion of the coin is sufficient to overcome this current challenge we are facing. I wish everyone a Happy New Years and good luck in promoting the coin and hopefully the next time I post, we will be having our discussion on mars |

I honestly don't know which way it's going to go, but of all the altcoins currently on the forum, I am excited about this one far more than any other, and see it as having far more potential than many others.
