so, half of the posts are most of early miners who want to get rid of cats and difficulty increase is so harsh in early days half of global hashrate power vanished already, way below 1 GH
I don't see why any exchange platform would care adding cats at this rate...

Is this an experimental case of suicide coin or something ?

Yay I can finally post!  Grin
I made some graphics, kr105 told me this:
They look very good! Can you please post them in the main thread so everyone can see them? Cheesy

So here are things I tried:

http://image.noelshack.com/fichiers/2013/52/1388054349-test-catcoin.png

http://image.noelshack.com/fichiers/2013/52/1388054348-test-catcoin-2.png

http://image.noelshack.com/fichiers/2013/52/1388054348-test-catcoin-4.png

EDIT: Made a splash screen: http://image.noelshack.com/fichiers/2013/52/1388056450-test-catcoin-5.png

What are your thoughts on it? I like the first coin, because it's fun, cute and aggressive, like the CATCOIN (everything went so fast, and price is rising very quickly).

I wish I could have mined more CatCoins, but with my 280KH/s not really that easy Sad

Sorry for my English, I am from France, I registered yesterday just to make some CatCoin graphics.

A lot of early opportunist miners try to cash in on the demand, once the difficulty goes up there's bound to be a drop in hashrate as all the opportunistic miners move to another coin. So what will happen is you'll see a lot more people trying to sell cat coins, and the price will fall as the supply increases.

All the sales will generate more interest in the coin, competition will drive down the price, hashrate will increase again, and we'll see a steady increase in price. It's market activity that drives coins. Not just hashpower in and of itself.

I really wouldn't worry about the drop in hashpower. The smart miners are sticking around and slowly building up coins knowing this is just the initial phase of a new coin. Other currencies have gone through it. Bitcoin itself being no exception I'm sure.

There's a particular type of chart that shows this kind of behavior, but for the life of me I can't remember what it's called. I'll dig it out if I can find it.

We need people trading the coin.

We need a place where to use them!
But please don't make a "just-dice" series.. or the owner of just-dice will take action and become the first place where to play them.
A casino would be a fair place to spend them. Smiley

experienced guys please opine is this comment true? what can be done about it?

at this point there are 930200 catcoins a lot of early mines were doge miners use to easy digs for a lot of coins
if you look here http://catchain.info/chain/Catcoin you will see that the difficulty rose rapidly, now that it's at 64 and the payouts are smaller
many have left thinking that there pool is broken or scamming them, not realizing that mining some coins takes a lot of time for little reward.
as was said many of the miners came from doge pools and many of them noobs...
once the coin hits exchanges and finds market a steady influx of miners will find there way back after the quick bucks run dry in their quick dump...
next week a catcoin will be harder to get, let alone next month, but there are definitely enough coins out there to make it to the exchanges.
and i think it will gather interest and value...
patients is a cat trait not a dogs...

Looks like scam.

Btw, I got scammed 50000 cats an hour earlier, so I am first in queue. Joke. I have my 20000000 Cats with me Grin

Btw, show transaction ID, so we can check this "scam" incident.

Some donate will be good))))))

A lot of people are claiming to be scammed, and starting to see a lot of new faces now. I sympathise with those being scammed, but for a relative newbie that's a hell of a lot of coins you had there..

If people are going to donate coins, give it to people who are actually actively supporting this currency.  Undecided

really? by whom then?
can you then also find out where to report "scammed" beggers who don't show proof?
