Sorry to disappoint but I will not be clicking the link you posted nor give further time to your defence of where you claim the donations are being spent.

I'm not disappointed, nor is it a defence but an actual fact that the money donated has gone into the development of a new forum software whether you want to accept that or not.

In that case I apologise if I got it wrong, will the new forum be open-source or custom coded? Any new donors giving 1BTC each at over $7000 will not require all that financial clout to go in to development so naturally the question arises as to exactly where the money has gone. The same way a list is provided to see the names of the donors it would provide clarity if a list was provided showing how much of the donations were spent and for which purpose etc. That provides clarity.

You can take a look in this page which is accessible when you click on DONATE and start counting how much the forums had collected from donations over years https://bitcointalk.org/donate.htmlAnd you can also search in the forums and you will find topics where the donations, funds or whatever was spent and how much. I will give you an example https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1278312.0Enjoy reading and don't take anyone to the court please

This new forum development has been going on for years, maybe I have it wrong but it seems either a case of mismanagement or incompetence that years later it still is being developed. What exactly is being developed and tested year after year?

But, I trust theymos and afaik the new forums should be available in 2018.

Thanks psreax I would never donate 10BTC to anyone. I bet all those that have donated to this forum in the past are wishing they had not donated

You donate here: https://bitcointalk.org/donate.htmlAnd 10btc is currently $172,700. Is that mean that one has to donate $172,700 USD? which comes around 172,700 USD =11,062,238.09 INR Can someone please clarify this? I really don't understand what is going on here...

It's 10btc. What's not to understand? The price was 10 bitcoins back in the day and won't be changed due to it being unfair to those who donated at the time.

This is the one of the top Bitcoin communities and it would be great if there are more donors. If not, hopefully there are enough donations already to keep this forum running

If not, hopefully there are enough donations already to keep this forum running The forums don't rely anymore on donations. Ads replaced donations long time ago. More and lower donations are suggested but not yet implemented since it isn't a priority.

Would be nice to see a way for people to show support to the forums and gain some reward online with the donating ones

(Since that's about 90% of the people on this forum.) (Essentially rewarding users for effectively ruining the forum, yeah, great idea.. ) Not sure if you know, but the forum isn't a charity, and neither are these ICO's, signature campaigns, or crypto as a whole.

A number of years back, when BTC was still around $200.00, I signed up to this forum and it never would allow me to access it. Instead, everytime I tried to log on it would say some garbage about "You have been guilty of (something or other) and must pay the satoshi gods xxxx amount of satoshi".
It wasn't much and I thought maybe someone one the same IP range as me had done something to deserve this so I paid - nothing. Still everytime I would come and try to login same thing. I would pay again and still same thing. I finally quit trying.
That was back in February 06, 2015 when I registered. It wasn't until the past month that I came back and tried to login and it actually allowed me.
Anyone know just WTF was going on back then?

Anyone know just WTF was going on back then? I have no idea what happened back then. I returned to this forum recently after a few years out. When I used my login it allowed me access for a few days then after that I was blocked. I saw a message about being banned as my account might be compromised. I did not bother with sending an email to get access again, I just opened a new account instead.
