The network tries to produce one block per 10 minutes. It does this by automatically adjusting how difficult it is to produce blocks.

Quick outage, I needed to change DB. this is related to notnull.org pool. Just having to run cron manually and once done the front end will return. Mining is not affected.

Sorry for the 'zero notice' i hate that, but the database needed an urgent upgrade.

Not sure if dev are listening, but there is a problem with RPC and the wallet, and the network. There are issues that are slowing confirmations down massively, as well as the important findblock.php job that most pools need to run. It is taking FOREVER to execute, and that is annoying.

please PM me and we can discuss.

    DNS MISCONFIGURATION FIXED

Kitteh and I made a boo-boo and messed up the DNS records for the pool while we were installing DNS entries for the upcoming (kittehcoin.com)[http://kittehcoin.com] and (kittehcoinexchange.com)[http://kittehcoinexchange.com] websites. Kitteh is unhappy about this and sez you all should be mad at me, not her, or she'll 'love me gently' with her claws.

    UPCOMING ADDITIONS TO KITTEHLAND

A proper website, with links to kittehcoin binaries for Windows, OSX and Linux, links to github sources, a roadmap for kittehcoin, a wiki, and other stuff you want to know will be up shortly.

Also, an exchange for kittehcoin will be born soon - kittehcoinexchange.com will let you trade MEOW and that mangy DOGE stuff against BTC and LTC. It's not Cryptsy, but it'll hopefully motivate them to add MEOW to their boards.

KITTEH IS CONSIDERING A TWEAK TO THE REWARDS ALGORITHM

Kitteh wants to add 'Jackpot Rewards' to KittehCoin. She's still working out the best algo for this, but so far the idea is upon finding a block, a miner has a small chance (which decreases as block count increases) to receive a 'Jackpot Reward', which will be the reward * x, where x starts at 1000 but increases linearly as block rewards shrink and difficulty increases due to a growing blockchain.

Jackpot Rewards will add a certain 'je ne sais quoi' to mining MEOW, and will give MEOW miners late to the party a chance to make some big gains even though they missed the hyper-low difficulties of the last 48 hours. Kitteh wants feedback on this idea though, and hopes you'll post your thoughts on the official KittehCoin thread at (bitcoindtalk)[https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=383068.0]

MONIES OWED TO EARLY MINERS AT KITEHCOINPOOL

The mining pool script I use, MPOS, has a reward config is set by default to 50 coin per block, which sucks elephant balls, and which I didn't notice until hours after the pool launched. That was a really stupid oversight on my part, and I hope the kind folks at MPOS add a bit o documentation about how to properly configure MPOS in detail / provide means to recalculate dues owed to miners when this kind of fuckup happens.

I'm busy trying to fix the issue, which will either involve me:

    • Begging the writers of MPOS to provide me with enough clues (or a DB script) to recalc rewards from the first block mined here, or
    • Writing the script myself, or doing the math on a spreadsheet from a DB export (I am looking forward to doing this about as much as I look forward to getting root canals. I hope I can find an easier way)

I'll get this done ASAP and every miner at kittehcoinpool will receive PPS payment for every share they worked on, but my priority tonight is the websites and spiffing up the QT client, since we want Kitteh to look good to more people so they come get some MEOW.

If you are an MPOS expert and can help me with my conundrum, PLZ contact me on bitcointalk (lonestar108) and I will make it worth your while!

Kitteh sez she loves you and wants to give you more MEOW![/list]

    Awesomeness!!!

    Nice job Lonestar!!

KITTEH SEZ TBCM IS HER KIND OF HUMAN

She wanted me to thank you, TBCM, for the KittehCoin faucet:

    http://www.thebitcoinmaster.com/kittehcoin/index.php

I'll add it to the opening post of this thread now.

tipped in 1K, it was looking a little sad with the balance.

KITTEH coin http://kit.notnull.org/ had a strange findblock issue, but the lag is gone now. onward! http://kit.notnull.org

The TIPS / FEDORA issues have been resolved, not sure if the other pools have experienced the bliss and euphoria of fast findblock perf. to the cron! http://fed.notnull.org/

HTC / HOTCOIN still running solid, pool is running about 15% of net hash rate.  http://hot.notnull.org/

DMD http://dmd.notnull.org/ - what's your opinion on this one? the pool is up, but no one cares, is this a waste?  Also http://phs.notnull.org/ another waste?
CAT http://cat.notnull.org/ is looking dead as a door nail, come get your coins if you have any at notnull.org [CAT]
QRK http://qrk.notnull.org/ what's your opinion on this one? the pool is up, but no one cares, is this a waste?

Nothing is worse than getting a pool up and no one using it, well that's an exaggeration, there are way way more worse things. Let me know, but for now, good night, and may your sharpest picks make coin!

Before you go doing bonus rewards make sure it won't mess with sites like coinmarketcap.com

If I am remembering right there was at least one coin they couldn't list due to blocks like that.
