I thought about the post of the qqcoins.
He said, that QQC was designed to be a quick money scheme, but Velocitycoin not. The QQC developer only wants to mine in secret, but the Velocitycoin devs not.

Hm, let's look at the block rewards:

50%:
VEL: The first 5000 blocks get rewarded with 5500VEL on average. This is 27.5mio. coins. That's about the half in 41 hours.
QQC: In 41.6 hours it had about 4.1mio., so about 13.7% of all coins. Even now, after 2.5 weeks we still don't have half of all ever minted coins.

75% of all coins are minted after:
VEL: 83hours, so 3.5 days, 1/2 week.
QQC: 3 month

I don't know. But if I was the qqcoin dev who want's to mine alone, I would use the reward model of VEL. Or he thought there will be a high popularity only 1-2 days and then the miner move to other coins and he could mine alone? Hm... In these days there is a lot of scam in this forum. Look at the Nxt-models like https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=395893.0. And psychology is very important. If you hold many coins you don't talk bad about it. Because it can move holders to sell and less people are maybe buying. Ask yourself: How will the coming back of the dev influence the price?

I don't know the intentions of qqcoins. Maybe he is telling half the truth. He wanted to mine in silence, so he promoted nothing and kept silence in hope, that less people would mine. Now he has may 10mio. coins (2/3 of all existing coins) and start to promote it. With a very good explaination.

Another possibility would be, that the publisher told the VEL-team that he is done and sold all coins but still holding many millions. Maybe he is still to lazy to promote it by his self. That would be evil genius

Maybe you right, yet, i'm not holding many QQC to cry if it rise high or fall low. Currently i here on simple one cause - i like your community

Oh, I just bought a few more just a minute before your post

I don't say that the distribution of VEL or QQC is wrong. Even a 20% premine would not be wrong (but then it depends what the devs would do with this coins). For example I like the 2% premine-range. The distribution model of QQC is similar to that of Quark. So early miner or adopters will get most of the reward - but only if they take the risk and mine, buy and hold. But VEL made this more extreme. half of the coins are minted after not even 2 days? That is rough.

Any how, I will hold this coin for a while and let's see what will happen

There is no rising at this level. Somebody could buy with one btc and the price would double. There is only a little volume. But it could be worse. Dimecoin or Freicoin (10times the marketcap of QQC) have only 1/10 of our volume.
