If you're still a miner, check out Mooncoin P2Pool: http://5.45.105.66
More nodes are always welcome, so if you run a Mooncoin P2Pool-node, why not make it public or even set up a new one? The scanner above will then find them automagically and add them to the list.

Not regarding Mooncoin, but if somebody was Mtgox customer, the deadline for claims is May 29.
They have started the process 2 days ago.

Hi MOON community,

Im an altcoin trader for a long time and also trading MOON at cryptsy. Since recently most of altcoins' volume decreased sharply , Ive decided to open an OTC altcoin market. Before setting up an OTC thread , I want to gauge for interest .

Ive more than 100 mil MOON and I want to trade OTC with MOON. Both buy/sell options and rates will be available. And I think I can trade MOON with LTC,BTC and DOGE . What I want to learn is If I do such a thing would you be interested in?

Kind Regards...

Hi, thank you for you work.
What will make your OTC different from exchanges?

Hi, thank you for you work.
What will make your OTC different from exchanges?

Hi KlondikeBear,

a-) There will be more trading pair options for MOON. For example : DOGE and BTC and (maybe some java kind coins like NXT, XEM and HZ)  , I know in bleutrade you can trade with BTC and DOGE with very low volume.

b-) There will be better rates for MOON. Again for example: Lets say in cryptsy , Buy rate for MOON/LTC is 20 satoshi and Sell rate is 21 satoshi. Then , I can make orders like 20.2 buy and 20.8 sell orders. In this way, I can offer better rates.

c-) Sometimes it takes days to completea 20 mil MOON buy/sell order in cryptsy. At my thread , when a deal is agreed then it will  take from 30 minutes to 1 hour to complete the trade at some high volumes.

d-) There will be no exchange commissions just transaction fees. Yes, when dealing a trade with BTC the fee some how can be higher than regular cryptsy fees but there is no way to exchange with BTC in cryptsy.

Here are the basic advantages come to my mind. But I have to express some disadvantages:

1-) Offers will be valid only when Im online and put orders to my thread. So, It will not be availabe 7/24. Even maybe , Ill put orders 2-3 times in a week at the beginning.
2-) When offers are finished there can not be any new orders for trading. So, first come will be served first and there willl be limited orders.
3-) Offers -I guess- will be available and valid for 3-4 hours.

These are basic ideas about my OTC exchange. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask.

Kind Regards...

On https://bleutrade.com/exchange/MOON/USD we can trade Moon for USD now.
A spread can be just $0.00000001 and it is 24/7, but yet a lack of liquidity. Why do you make OTC if you can be a market maker on bleutrade, for example?
It takes much less work and it has liquidity already, so you will not have to waste your time to advertise, to code, to support.

But it would be original and interesting if you trade other coins for MOON on your OTC.
DOGE/MOON, LTC/MOON etc...
MOON price format is very usable, it would be rates without all these decimals 0.0000000, rates format /MOON would look great because many coins want to go to the moon  Wink

Why do I make OTC?

a-) bleutrade has an awkward trading system when dealing with fees and numbers. I have interesting trade history pages with wrong numbers. That basically creeps me.
b-) As I stated at my previous post, It takes too much to complete an order for bigger trades.
c-) Recently , I started to feel very unconfident when trading at exchanges, since volumes dropped significantly. I dont think its a sustainable business model with these low volumes even if its cryptsy. Thats the main reason for thinking such an OTC thread.

There also maybe misunderstanding , I will not make any coding -at least at the beginning-. I will make an OTC thread at btt forum. And publish my rates if someone wants to trade with me , I will trade. Though it will take some time to set up a thread and google docsheet, and also even after I start to trade again it will take some extra time to handle things. Hovewer, Ill be more confident when trading and I belive it will be more fun.

One more note, -currently- Im just gauging interest for it. If noone or very few people interested in, most probably I wont dealing with it.

Kind Regards...

Regarding big trades probably it really would be something interesting, if you make your OTC a place where people can trade with more confidence than on Cryptsy-Bleutrade-Bittrex, why not?

I guess there is no such interest for my planned OTC market. Interestingly , nobody responded to thread except you.

And I couldnt find any linux wallet. Isnt there any linux wallet at all? I wanted to host a MOON node but I think its not possible with linux.

I have read several articles about the fact that derivatives are killing  bitcoin (okcoin , bitfinex futures killing bitcoins)
I believe it is still premature to activate an OTC market because
the underlying volumes are too low ...Btc Total global daily volume about 100000!
but anything can happen at any moment, the real boom will come in three years or in a few days?
then it could also affect otc market...

Basically the idea is nice. But even for BTC the need for OTC is not too big at the moment. Sure, big investors like that idea and are using it most probably to get big amounts of BTC without the hassle on an exchange and are willing to pay a premium for that service. I'd like to see that for Mooncoin, too. But as agswinner said, the question is, whether Mooncoin has so much demand from real big investors that would populate such kind of service. I'm not even sure, if there do exist OTC-services for any other currency than BTC already?
How would you realize such an OTC market? Via escrow?

Regarding the Linux-wallet:
The original Mooncoin-wallet for Linux is here: https://github.com/realmooncoin/mooncoin
It is still the latest version, made by deaconboogie back in time.
You should always build from the repository on your distribution, because some specialized installation-packages most of the time don't work anyway, as they can only be made for specific distributions and don't work on other distros.

If you like the wallet from gjhiggins better, you could also try that one: https://github.com/mooncoin-project/mooncoin-landann

Hello, please consider voting in this poll:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1042097.0

It's an attempt to measure whether the altcoin community feels that marketcap is an indicator of success, and possibly discuss it.

I'm targeting ~500+ page ANN threads, and not trying to spam everything with bumps, so please kindly don't delete this unless I've accidentally posted it more than once in your thread.

All opinions are welcomed.

Within a month, unfortunately, due to hacker attacks, we lost three exchanges Cryptoine Allcrypt and Swisscex..
moon listed on cryptsy and on bleutrade  Grin

Are you sure, Swisscex was hacked, too? They close their doors, yes, but because of a hack?

Swisscex no hacked but i suppose they have lost on CHF/eur after SNb decision ....

Their closure document says we can get a private key for our mooncoins by logging into our account, but the website's not allowing logins tight now.

Any coins not on the list below require a processing fee of $20 per coin to withdraw, which is a rip off IMO.

Status

We settle all balances on the block chain. This means we create for every account (currency) of
every user an address and transfer the account balance to the respective address. The private
key to spend these coins will be available in the user account (under ‘My Portfolio’ > ‘Settled
Accounts’). This is similar to a paper wallet.

Note: The usual withdrawal fee has been deducted from the balance.

Settled Coins

CNO, CDN, MYR, XPM, POT, USDe, MAX, CCN, VIA, NOBL, RDD, DGC, MOON, PND, NMC,
RBR, LTC, DOGE, BTC, VTA, ALN, KSC, NLG, NYAN, EAC, DRK, TIPS

Unsettled Coins (Last update: March 25)

CENT (pending)
GRC v1.0 (pending)
CARBON (pending)
FSC (open support ticket)

Other Coins

All other coins have been removed at an earlier stage with prior email notification and a
minimum grace time of 30 days. These coins can be requested at a processing fee of $20 per
