A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away...
the Single Coin Empire
in alliance with powerful dark coins
against independent Altcoin Republics
and Moon Jedi Knights...

“Fear is the path to the dark side…
fear leads to anger…
anger leads to hate…
hate leads to suffering.”

I tried and and the took my coins promptly and gave me nothing in return. So only use https://coingateway.net/ if you are in the mood to be robbed.

How much have you lost? TX id?

They have stopped delivering a service as soon as they had got their complete rewards in BTC and Mooncoins.
They have not been answering our support tickets, calls, e-mails for months.
They have Mooncoin transactions hidden  from their list of transactions.
It seems that https://coingateway.net is just a scam.

Those are among the few things that I have been thinking to make Mooncoin better. I know that it has a good community but it lacks development (if I'm correct) I mean is the dev really active or is Mooncoin being actively developed and maintained by its community? In my opinion, I think it is not bad to make Mooncoin a PoS coin. I would be staking them a lot (since they are easier to get due to their extreme cheapness)  Roll Eyes

Advantages of staking are the common myth which is very popular now at Bitcointalk.
People with no bias begin to realize the benefits of classic time-tested Proof-of-Work, check out, for example, topics:

Today Cryptsy customers received messages "Cryptsy is closed" and a link to a 'refund' website where customers are being asked their Cryptsy logins and passwords.
Big Vern told it's a phishing attack: https://twitter.com/Cryptsy
Let's wait for more information. Currently all withdrawals and trades are paused at Cryptsy.

I guess the following explains everything (at least for me) This is the message that now appears when going to Cryptsy exchange:

Quote
[There is a phishing attempt going around prompting users to go to a cryptsy-refund website. Do not go to this website or give your login details on any website other than the official Cryptsy website. There were two avenues of the Phishing attempt. One was via SMS, using our provider Twilio and gained entry into our logs and sending ability via a weak password on that account. The passwords on this account have been secured. The other avenue was via email using the same mailing service we use (Mailgun), but was not sent using our account. It is uncertain where the email list for this Phishing attempt was attained from, as we do not show any unauthorized access to our Mailgun account nor our internal systems. We are still investigating this matter. If you were a victim of this phishing, you should log into your account at Cryptsy immediately and do the following: 1. Change your password and enable 2fa if you don’t already have it enabled. 2. Check your pending withdrawals, we currently have withdrawals disabled so if you see one that shouldn’t be there you can request to have it cancelled. Regarding other issues that have been apparent at Cryptsy for the last couple months, I will be making another post to explain what has been happening in the next couple days. BigVern UNTIL WE ARE ABLE TO DETERMINE EXTENT OF THE PHISHING ATTEMPT, ALL WITHDRAWALS ARE PAUSED

deaconboogie should update a lot of info, as for exchanges: coinex, coinedup, swisscex, cryptokk  - are closed now... only one exchange from deaconboogie's list is still barely working ,
unfortunately he has not been active here since July 19, 2014, 10:48:33 PM https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=199575

Let's not judge Cryptsy completely BEFORE upcoming comments of its owner... The largest MOON trading volume is still there as well as more than 75 billion of our coins.

Edit: certainly their reputation has been damaged with withdrawal delays and with their system of verification/tiers which was not discussed with customers before changing rules...

For as long as Cryptsy doesn't work (correctly), try Bleutrade: https://bleutrade.com/exchange/MOON/LTC  Edit: (Info for the miners: they also have autosell-features, just like Cryptsy)

You could also vote for MOON on Cryptopia: https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/Home/Voting

Until that time we need to remove Cryptsy, and put it back later when thing are running smoothly.
Aslo revome the other shit.
I suggest to think about a new MOON topic, a new OP whit the right info and right exchanges.
Probably a new topic whit a well made OP will boost MOON 15 to 20%

Any coin currently listed on Cryptsy is now eligible to be added to Cryptopia Exchange at a discounted rate of 500K DOT as long as the coin meets the following conditions.

In order for a cryptocurrency to be hosted on Cryptopia it needs to satisfy the following requirements:

2. No pre-mine, or justified pre-mine prior to launch.
3. No ICO or IPO prior to launch.
4 .Official Website.
5. An established community

*If there are no network connections when a coin wins the vote, it will not be listed*
*If the coin does not compile, it will not be listed*

"In light of the current climate over at Cryptsy and the influx in users looking for somewhere to go we are offering to list any coin currently listed on Cryptsy (Provided it meets our current standards) for 500,000 DOT each.

Does MOONcoin still give extra rewards every lunar cycle ?

"Every block number based on the lunar cycle will be awarded a 2x payout bonus!"

Currently a block reward is a 29531 MOON (fixed) since a few months. "That's based on the number of days, the moon needs to orbit the earth: 29.531 days on average. Plus possible fees for the transactions of course (e.g. when combining many "dust transactions" to one big amount)".

You can observe blocks with 29531 coins,
Mooncoin has 3 independent block explorers:

http://moonchain.net

www.mutifaucet .tk?blockexplorer=MOON

https://bchain.info/MOON

Mooncoin has never changed rules, it is inverstors friendly unlike many other coins.

-----------------
Edit: sorry, not completely correct, Mooncoin has never changed rules indeed, but

if you read an original code:
if (nHeight % 29531 == 0) {
// a prize for ever lunar cycle
                nSubsidy = nSubsidy * 2;
        }

nHeight  is a current block
nSubsidy is a block reward
nSubsidy is 29531 Mooncoins currently

nHeight % 29531
% is a modulus operator or remainder operator,
if you had, say, 10 % 5 the answer would be 0 (10/5=2, remainder 0).
if 10% 6 the answer would be 4 (10/6=1, remainder 4).

so if it is a block, say 800 000,
800 000/29531=27, remainder 2663 so remainder is not = 0 and nSubsidy=nSunsidy=29531
but every 29531 block we have a result %29531=0,
for example, 767806/29531=26.000, 797337/29531=27.000, 826868/29531=28.000
which means that for these blocks (767806, 797337, 826868 etc with an interval of 29531 blocks) and ONLY for these blocks
the rewards are nSubsidy * 2 or 29531*2=59062.

That means that approximately one block per month gives miners a double reward and about 350,000 Mooncoins every year come from "Every block number based on the lunar cycle will be awarded a 2x payout bonus!"

We have no access to deaconboogie's account, how can we remove outdated links from OP?
Bitcointalk mods have refused to help.

A new topic?
When newbies come to our thread or see us in Announcements, they understand that Mooncoin is a well-known coin (a thread contains a lot of posts) and really time-tested (OP in 2013).

Now imagine a new thread. Newbies will think it's just a typical new coin with less than 1,000 posts, which has been started in 2016.

http://coinmarketcap.com indicates that 24 h MOON trading volume is $ 14 now.
That's wrong.
Currently it's $ 365 (Cryptsy+Bleutrade).
Correct numbers with a little delay can be found at http://mooncoin.com

Unfortunately due to this inaccuracy of Coinmarketcap, potential investors may think that Mooncoin has no liquidity at all.
Meanwhile Mooncoin is one of the largest LTC markets.

Have you tried Bleutrade.com?
They say they have 26589 accounts, if that's true, the exchange is not small.
Anyway there are very fast withdrawals and trades, you don't have to wait and press F5 button permanently (as with another exchange).
It's really comfortable to trade there.
They also have autosell-features for miners.
https://bleutrade.com/exchange/MOON/LTC

btw Mooncoin market capitalisation at Coinmarketcap is based on a MOON/LTC price at Bleutrade.

This is one of the long lasting coins that was created a long time ago. Nice to see it living though. As cryptsy stops withdrawing. Where are you guys trading moon coins? Are mining still profitable? I have seen moon been traded again litecoin in cryptsy. Would love to see the other exchanges.

Try https://bleutrade.com/exchange/MOON/LTC  to trade Mooncoins.
