diff is 118 now    Angry
I never give up, I have millions
it just keeps getting harder and harder is all
the KGW works no dought, just rather the multipools leave us alone.
I am a prime example of why they continue to hurt us, I left the pool because I refuse to mine when diff is 100+
I just switched to something a lot easier. ill go back when diff is down again another day!

should make all the tips pools private to registered community members only.

Nope but it's a laptop; HP Envy w/ overclocked AMD 7850M in an aluminum body design so it runs cool @ 65-67C. Energy consumption is $8.50 a month Smiley

Take care, this looks like market manipulation, it looks like scammer wolong's style trying to cap the price at 100. I wouldn't buy above the 40's. No real reason for such an increase. If all of this is just due to a whale trying to scam people, this is not good at all for the coin.

TIPS are finally on the raise. But still, i think they didnt reach the final price on saturday.
How many TIPS do you think we should have collected each right now? I have between 10 Mio and 30 Mio TIPS :-) I really put much trust on to TIPS.

Yes, this could also be possible. I saw the exactly same thing on coinedup some weeks before. Price was very stable @ 7-8 Latoshi. Then the price just blow up, to over 120 Latoshi, for falling down to sth about 20 LTC i think. This was before the TIPS arrived @ cryptsy.

Looking at the volume, I think we are now dealing with mega whales with way more than 10+ bill. I wouldn't be surprised to see 30 or even 40+ bill. This is a serious concern. Their influence on the market will be tremendous.

This coin is NOT another altcoin.
I'm here since first day ,and i much believe in TIPS (Fedoracoin)

40 or 120 Latoshi is not important at all.

Community is growing  very fast, that's important .

Very true! I'm in this also for the long run, you know, I've got other altcoins which I pretty much sell when I see the first opportunity to sell
them with a gain, but never my tips. NEVER MY TIPS, I will keep them forever. Hold your tips people !!!  Smiley Smiley

Here are some responses for review.... they're based on icanprogram's (main dev) answers, but I went into more detail.

1 - Regarding Fedoracoin old project, was is discontinued? Do you have some links where I can learn more about old Fedoracoin? Or TIPS IS Fedoracoin?
The Fedoracoin project is still very much alive and was never discontinued.  The original coin name is FedoraCoin, but the ticker symbol is TIPS.  Because we find TiPS to be more universally recognized,
we will be advertising with more emphasis on TiPS.  At it's core, the coin is still FedoraCoin.

2 - How come the revamping and new branding? What is TIPS mission?
The TiPS mission is to be THE Internet Payment System...  a tipping currency that can be used for online articles and services.  Eventually we want to achieve real-world tipping such as one click tips to waiters and waitresses.  We are revamping with a new marketing campaign because we are now ready for expansion.  We have a solid proven community.

This coin has been through a lot.... A LOT!... and we would just like a fresh start.
The coin was first released after Dogecoin in reference to the Fedora Meme:
    http://knowyourmeme.com/memes/tips-fedora

Upon launch, the creator of the coin, invisibel was threatened by hackers to stop working on the coin.  They emailed him all of his personal information, and threatened to go public if he did not stop developing.  Invisibel.. coincidentally like his namesake, disappeared at that point, and went on hiatus.  The community took over.  After a few weeks Invisibel was surprised to see the community still flourishing and was inspired.  He decided to come back and develop for the coin.
    http://www.reddit.com/r/FedoraCoin/comments/1w677v/sync_issues_extreme_growth_loss_of_anonymity_and/

In the month's time that he's been back, his team has implemented the Kimoto Gravity Well difficulty-adjustment algorithm.  This was done to combat the massive sell-offs from multi-coin miners, and to stablize the difficulty.  The miners would bring in their massive hashing power, mine the coin in 7 seconds, and then leave just before the readjustment period leaving extremely high difficulties for the community miners.

More importantly Invisibel's team has also implemented the world's first built-in tumbler.  With a simple click of a button, the transactions from your wallets can be made untraceable.

3 - Does it have PoS?
    No

4 - If TIPS is intended to be used worldwide, what are the steps the Fedoracoin team is taking to affect not only internet operations but real-life ones as well?
TiPS works well within internet communities because it was born there.
We believe it should also translate to real-world communities, but we're focusing on the internet for now.  We have two development teams, one for currency features (diff algo, wallet tumbler) and another web-service oriented team.  They have just released "w/ Fedoracoin" (https://pay.withfedoraco.in), a payment processing platform dedicated to TiPS.  It's an API that websites can plug into for quick transaction verification.... all done automatically.  Webmasters don't have to worry about creating wallets, processing the payment, etc.  It's a simple point and click feature.

5 - Do you have images to send?
 < Please include fayens' logo>

6 - What will be the next developments? Are there other services coming? If so, when?
Our service-based team is currently restructuring our TiPS Foundation to be more in line with Kickstarter http://imgur.com/a/xs4jh.  This will allow our community to have more input on where to allocate our resources.  Our core development team is currently hush-hush, as we don't want to "TiP" off our competition.

Hi mardaed, I went through the answers, looking good I have to say. I added some things, for example I think it would be nice to mention the KGW and coin mixing, which is pretty much a unique special feature right now.

I have written it like this. If you and the devs are ok with it, I would send it to cryptonerd right away:

1 - Regarding Fedoracoin old project, was is discontinued? Do you have some links where I can learn more about old Fedoracoin? Or TIPS IS Fedoracoin?

The Fedoracoin project is still very much alive and was never discontinued.  The original coin name is FedoraCoin, but the ticker symbol is TIPS.  Because we find TiPS to be more universally recognized,

3 - Does it have PoS?

No, it is scrypt based an mineable with regular hardware. It has a cap of 500 billion coins, difficulty retarget time 10 minutes, block time 60 seconds.

4 - If TIPS is intended to be used worldwide, what are the steps the Fedoracoin team is taking to affect not only internet operations but real-life ones as well?

TiPS works well within internet communities because it was born there.

Yes, I added the tips logo in the attachment.

Noteworthy technological aspects of the coin:

We had only quite recently implemented the Kimoto gravity well difficutly algorithm in order to battle multipool exploitaition of the dfficulty retarget time.
Another feature, where we are proud to say that we are the first ones to have this, is coin mixing. This functions like a coin anonymizer, where you can simply, with a click of the mouse button,
activate this feature in the wallet, and your transactions become untraceable and anonymous. We think that such a feature is important in cryptocurrencies and we are the first ones to have
     this feature.

its not going up fast because of the massive sell walls. Also most day traders sell when they double their money. Tips was on 50 give or take. for a month.
