Now, that I got your attention, I need to inform you, guys, that I've spent all evening and made this wallet mockup:

http://coindrain.com/prt/mockup/

And then I've made a post about it here (it's pretty long, but I posted my reasons for the changes I made)

http://forum.bitparticle.com/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=259

Post feedback, comments, ideas, hate. I'm going to rest for a couple of minutes now Smiley

Altgough I see why, I think you should remove the angry bird icon. I think it detracts from the idea.

I reckon black and green color combination would make the wallet look slicker

Color theme is something very easy to change and give multiple options to!

Can't please everyone so until it's in a release state, I would put it as low priority but keep it on the list of to do!

Yes, but visual impact of the wallet will play a major role, new users would probably prefer a modern, minimal and visual appealing wallet.

I don't like the current color scheme, that grey color gives me a old feel, like the windows 95 task bar  Grin

OK, now I've got a marketing idea, but it takes a lot of our input (just like any other idea, wont work by it self). Basically the point is to advertise Snotty's http://coindrain.com/particle. We who mined or received coins should leave the faucet to PRT potential new users, buyers, investors. I bet it doesn't mean much to any of you (1 to 11 PRT? come on... comparing to your wallet?), but what can be a better marketing than giving away real money? No matter how bad the rates are at the moment, there's nothing to loose. It's still some money. So, my suggestion is to recommend the faucet to your friends, talk about the potential growth of the coins value, coin markets, mention the BTCs value now, and I think most of them will be hooked up.
In short - FREE MONEY! NO COST, NO TASKS, NO SURVEYS, NO REGISTRATION, just go and grab it.

and yes - one day turn it into a yacht!  Grin

I wonder how many different ACTUAL people actually uses it daily (150-200 unique hits/day). Not counting those proxy changers, who are pretty common in the faucets :} If the faucet would be used as a marketing"landing page" of a coin it should be much more polished... Some banners, high quality logo, catchy promo text would help.

I agree, but the good thing is you already got the tool that works. It just needs some make up.

oh, and one more thing... People holding hundreds of thousands of PRT. What do you expect? Billions of $$$? No future for PRT if we all hold on to what we got now. Coins need to circulate in order to gain value. Spread some, leave some. I'm not asking for anyone to give it to me (that earlier post was a joke), but I'd like my small amount in the wallet to gain at least some value so I can start trading part of it. No use now, it's just too small (less than the faucet value at this moment  Wink )

Since, giveaways just got forbidden, tweaked faucet could serve as an advanced giveaway service... Some Particle community related tasks could be added, abit of quiz (go to the topic x, copy paste n-th word, write a bit about why you're interested in Particle (manually checked, bonus PRT for making sense and not adding "qdjlivz;lwidj;qwijd" to the text field).

But I am now taking a day or two to rest and work on my day job and gambling website. There are quite a lot of promo things which could be implemented in it (you get 50-100PRT in your account wallet for joining, can withdraw after 5 bets, who wouldn't at least download a wallet after getting free money?)

I think the mockup looks awesome.  I really like it.

Some things can be challenging to implement because I am stuck using Windows.Forms for cross-platform ability.  If I could use WPF and windows only, then can do some really amazing things, but then you lose the Mac and Linux users.  And although Linux user may be small %, I am one of them Wink  I only use Windows for development.  I spend most time in Linux Mint because I prefer it.  And therefore I want my wallet to work on it Cheesy

Matauc is right, the color scheme is easy to change.  There are settings for the colors in the wallet alpha already, although I have to finish wiring them up to auto-update live.  So you can go back to black background, green accent, anything you can think of.

I am just the bricklayer.  I put the bricks down built the foundation and hung up the canvas.  Feel free to paint on the canvas Smiley  I will integrate as much as I can into the wallet based on community feedback.

And also please participate in marketing thread on http://forum.bitparticle.com so we can get organize, thank you!

I think that right there is exactly what people should hang onto.

Being in 2014, we have proven that the best products are those created by the crowd. We have the first coin bringing the crowd potential here.

nice! Wallet ideas are awesome but please choose the right color schemes/combinations. Not conflicting ones like for example red on blue etc.
