As long as you backup your wallet.dat ( when the particle-qt has shutdown completely), copy and then delete the "blocks" and "chainstate" folders you should be ok..

Such demanding, but no solution offered.  Before buying graphics just for the sake of buying graphics, there needs to be a plan.  "various landing pages" - for what?  Landing page needs a purpose and a call to action.

Banners - again, for what outcome?  For conversions?  You realize that ugly banners generally convert a lot higher than nice ones... so, is it nice banners for headers in documents, or banner ads to meet a conversion target?

That's a jpeg made by novocaine. I just used it here. It can be replaced with anything.

My opinion is that for start it should be decided about the official logo, then this kind of official banner (fonts, colors, effects), maybe a coin design... After that I'll put it again in the same template and render the new one. This one has some rough edges too, because I just used jpeg and made this in few minutes. For official thing I'll use the original psd or whatever file.

I guess I can also invite all the people to suggest designs, corrections, maybe give examples that we can follow in making our own.

I do not disagree with you.
Yes I have marketed many things online in the past and know that sometimes  you need to hype the product up before even having it these days.
You are concerned about the functionality of the wallet app - OK, I get it and really appreciate your hard work.
However when I look at what has been done on the marketing/graphic work, it really makes me wanna cry.

Everybody is scattered around doing their own thing (be it the above logo, or another wallet design and other whatnots)
What I will bring to the table is structure, transparency and results.

I will make another thread after I am back from my day job stating out the whole plan.
We really need to get organized and start working towards marketing strategies. Otherwise with even the best wallet app and best coin you make won't be noticed by the masses. We were not even considered for new cryptsy poll, even after hundreds of posts on their board. At the moment Dopecoin stands out way more than Particle and that is not right. It isn't even released yet. DO you see my point here?
They already have users and miners ready to unleash their mining rigs on this coin, which returns nothing new to the community. Just another clone.

So excuse me for being needy, pushy and demanding. I just see us drowning in a massive sea of phony coins that were released from coingen.io that are marketed way better than PRT.

We have the advantage of developing an actual improvement to the way all coins operate currently. That is wonderful, I know, but it will have to be open source when you release it as a public beta, otherwise no one will use it, being afraid of viruses. That is normal.
NOW, what do you think the owners of other coins will do? They will take the open source wallet you created and apply it to their own already properly marketed coins and just run with it.

I want this done right, because I see the potential in Particle.

We need to be smart, not touchy here. It is business after all.

Screenshots of a wallet that does not look appealing to the regular joes eye should not be released publicly until the whole community decides it is OK to do so, if you ask me.

It is up to the community of PRT to decide whether they want some protectiveness done or not, but, honestly, I don't see anyone else here trying to take initiative towards marketing.

If you all say I should leave it alone and let everybody else do their own thing - be my guest and good luck.
If not, donate below and hope that, with the current swarm of altcoins on the market, we are not too late to get noticed.

I agree. Design/marketing work is too scattered, and this way no matter how good all the pieces are, we have only a bunch of pieces instead of the whole thing. My opinion also - we should have one person at least to lead a team if not to make everything by him self. You speak wisely, but forgive me if i don't trust my (potential) money to a complete stranger I know nothing about  That's only because I don't have much. Maybe some big PRT holders can make donations

I agree. This should not be coming from small miners/late adopters... I am reaching out to the people, who have been mining PRT since day 1 with their rigs and were making millions or hundreds of thousands per day. I have seen the pool users getting over 1 million coins per day on the first few days... If you want that those coins you have now be worth anything more than a few satoshi later - think about marketing and raising the price, instead of sitting on the bag an waiting for others to do all the hard work.

There are many great and successful projects that started off being crowdfunded Lets make PRT one of them.
There is so much still to do!

Coins won't have any value unless they start moving. Wait... Oh.. why would I even explain. Miners with those rigs already know all that, but many still hold the coins. What do they expect? To make trillions of $$ just by sitting on PRT? At least trade it for BTC/LTC and back to PRT few times. Start things up and only then value will rise. Nothing to loose people. If you don't want to do it you really wont have anything to loose because it won't be worth at all.
