Heh, just called father to chit chat for a bit, told about altcoin, briefly explained what it's all about and he was like that "Oh, cool, can I invest? I'd really like to" (while, of course, having no idea, what I am actually doing and how does these things work) Smiley

So I think I'm gonna have to buy my father some Particles as a gift and hope for the best :}

Particle is the gift that keeps on giving.  Wink

Just remeber, it's better for to take our time and do it right than to rush it and make mistakes.  Everyone that comes across like we have to hurry get on all exchanges is clearly looking for a pump and dump coin.  Let's do it right regarless what the price is.  Look how long it took bitcoin to get its market cap.

I am pretty sure that the coin will be added to cryptsy, but I hope it is soon.

I don't like this idea at all. If they actually choses coins by their possible long time value (sadly, it doesn't look that way), they will notice Particle sooner or later, there's no need to encourage terrible practice of bribing exchanges, which would be gladly used by investors of shitty pump'n'dumps.

pretty much that.

Particle is one of the coins with the less hate and one of the only ones that did something else than tweak algo.  It's bound to hit bigger exchanges.  Don't really have to force anyone's hand after they take a look at what is particle.

I too think we shouldn't rush it and its much better to do the thing slower and right. I see no rush in putting it on the heavy exchange like cryptsy.

However there is also the point of getting the coin into a circulation. And here I have to say coinedup isn't very helpful in this task.
I think here we would do good get it better into circulation be it on another faster exchange or other ways.

Before I retracted my Particles from that  coinedup exchange I thought about trading selling and buying like I do with other coins on other exchanges.. but this exchange is so not responding that I had to cancle such an action attempt. It's not going to flow that way.

Full disclosure:  I totally agree with getting things right before
getting on a better exchange but at the moment, even if you
wanted to carry out a simple buy order CoinedUP seems to have
unnecessary latency.

I sent a message to Bter and Cryptsy Ops today.

somehow i believe the criptsy "grand opening" for particle will happen exactly at the right moment when particle gets ready for it.

btw, i don't know if coinedup has latency problems, the page is not available Smiley

What problems CoinedUp does not have? Today it's really getting on my nerves :/

Edit: just saw that they have "The fastest transaction engine" written on their twitter page, which is quite hilarious.

Got drag and drop working for particle:// uri's.  Send pulls address, amount, and label/comment, expect at least address.  Is smart enough to know if you already have a recipient and will add another one not overwrite.  Apps can listen for a message on the bus with everything already parsed and handle a uri for an appslot if they can.  Not sure what other commands besides send people might want link to in core wallet.  I'm sure people will come up with idea.

It works nice.  For instance this:

particle://prt/send/Pjh1SXpcgaQ7bbbweXU1ioQUWcNtW4yZZx/1337.1337/Show%20Yasuki%20Love

Will open send app and put in 1337.1337 PRT with a comment "Show Yasuki Love".  Kiss
