Why don't you publish the "SECRET HASH" at the time the bet is generated? The only thing NO ONE can manipulate is the blockchain transaction ID. How do we know that you don't retroactively change the secret hash once the blockchain ID is generated? You're doing it backward....

Not really. It is in fact very easy for you to manipulate your transaction ID with the "createrawtransaction" command.

Why don't you publish the "SECRET HASH" at the time the bet is generated? The only thing NO ONE can manipulate is the blockchain
Because it is possible for the sender to manipulate the transaction ID. How do we know that you don't retroactively change the secret hash once the blockchain ID is generated? You're doing it backward....
It's not technically possible. We explain why in the Direct Dice Provably Fair Verification & Rules : To achieve a Provably Fair Direct Dice the following technique is used : When you order a Direct Dice bet we generate a random secret that is used to generate the dice roll. Obviously we can not reveal the secret before the dice is rolled because this will allow you to know in advance the outcome of the roll. Therefore, we scramble the secret in a special technique called hashing using SHA256 cryptographic algorithm and present the hashed secret in the Bet Status page. The only way to reproduce the hashed secret is by hashing the original secret. Later on, after the game is over, we will reveal the original secret used, and you will be able to hash it yourself and verify that the result is identical to the hashed secret presented to you before the roll of the dice. This will prove that we did indeed used the secret that was designated to your bet. To ensure that we don't know in advance the outcome of the dice roll, we add another random value which is not in our control, and that is the transaction ID of your bet transfer, as it appears in the block chain. For more details please read http://www.directbet.eu/Rules.cshtml#Dice and feel free to contact me for any further information.

"we add another random value" .............. key words..... "WE ADD".
The full sentence that is written in our Rules page is : "To ensure that we don't know in advance the outcome of the dice roll, we add another random value which is not in our control, and that is the transaction ID of your bet transfer, as it appears in the block chain." You can consult with independent 3rd parties who understand in provably fairness and they will confirm to you that there is absolutely no way that we can influence the roll of the dice. http://www.directbet.eu/Rules.cshtml#Dice╔══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╗ ☞ DirectDice ►► No House Edge for Frequent Bettors ►► 10BTC Jackpot ►► Bitcoin, Litecoin & Dogecoin ►► Instant Auto Payouts ►► BITCOINTALK THREAD ╚══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╝

IT ISNT POSSIBLE FOR ME TO MANIPULATE THE TRANSACTION ID THAT BLOCKCHAIN GENERATES.
It is possible for the sender to manipulate the transaction ID, but you don't have to take my word for it. Ask the Bitcoin developers. Direct Dice is provably fair. What that means is that there is no way that we can pick up numbers to make you lose, even if we wanted to. You can learn more about this here : http://www.directbet.eu/Rules.cshtml#DiceIf you like, you can reveal the secret of your dice rolls and verify the results. If that still doesn't convince you, I suggest that you consult with independent specialists and reputable members in this forum. Send them to the link above and they will confirm to you that there is no way that we can influence the roll of the dice. Direct Dice features no house edge for frequent bettors. It's the only provably fair dice game out there that is favorable to you, the players, because while having fun and betting with no house edge, you're actually freerolling on the 10 BTC Jackpot, that is provided on the house ! Give it a try : http://directbet.eu/Event.cshtml?EventID=777

it's on the pool (you should vote there too). I guess they will add it if enough people ask for it and vote for it, if a sportsbook adds it I guess it will be something like the official Gambling crypto (along with bitcoins ofcourse )

I wouldn't advice DirectBet to add CLAMs. There are only a few people who actually use clam.
And, more important, you need to buy in clams. That might make the price go higher, but people will dump their coins on the market, which will make the price go way lower. That will be a huge loss for you. I'd add Ripple or blackcoin instead.

If DirectBet adds CLAM, it could attract those gamblers already with CLAM on hand from JD. I don't think many will buy CLAM just to play on DirectBet. Why don't they play with bitcoin directly?

I think Josepht & Yuki are confused. You don't have to buy clam... everyone who owned Bitcoin, Litecoin or Dogecoin on May 12th 2014 already has free CLAM. The whole CLAM network is "given" away. So please dig your CLAM and dump them!!!!! So the point is that people don't need to buy CLAM in order to fuck off because they already have it. People would play with CLAM because they are free, fun or cheap. They are eco friendly and you earn coins just by holding coins (Staking.) Even if someone wins big at JD... the loss will most likely be made up via mining by just holding coins. (come watch to understand further.)

I know about the fact that you can dig up your own clams. In fact, I dug up my own ones and sold them (when the price was .006 ) My point is that DirectBet needs a bankroll in order to be able to pay the winning bets. They need to buy that. Later on people will dump coins on the market, which makes the price go lower, which makes the value of the bought coins lower.

As a bookie, we need much more coins than what you can dig in for free if we want to accept bets in CLAM, and that's a challenge, considering the small market cap and that most of the CLAMs in circulation are parked on JD.

Can you give me a brief explanation, or link to one, of how to use "negotiate"? My question is: when I see a bet is available at "negotiate" does that mean there is some number that would be accepted (if I bid high enough), or is no bet available for that given bet at any rate and I need to wait A certain period of time (like until a timeout or the end of a quarter)? Thanks

You can find explanation on all the betting options here : http://www.directbet.eu/FAQ.cshtml#BetOptionsIf your bet is in "Negotiate" state it means that it is not yet confirmed and that we're waiting for the bet odds to reach your minimum required odds. If you want to get it confirmed instantly at the current odds, simply reduce the minimum required odds to the current odds and click "Change Minimum Odds". It would be quicker and easier for you to enter very low odds, like 1.01 decimal, instead of checking for the current odds. Don't worry, it's the same thing. If the current odds are higher than 1.01, your bet will confirm at the higher odds. This is useful during in-play betting when the odds fluctuate frequently and you want your bet to confirm immediately without chasing the odds. I hope this helps, please let me know if you have any more questions.
