Who (if anyone) is currently responsible for the development of the Qt wallet for Coinye/KOI?

At present there's no installation .exe for Windows (as far as I know) which is a bit of a disincentive for some new users.

It would also be useful during installation to be able to specify alternative locations for the blockchain and wallet files.  For example if someone is mining they may wish to locate the wallet on their local machine but the blockchain on a networked drive so that it can be accessed by a number of machines.

There has also been some discussion of customised "skins" which I think would be popular and would help to promote the coin.

I have found that I am still using the original wallet from coinyecoin.org and I have had no problems with either getting coins in or out of the wallet.

CoinyeCoin also have an IRC channel on freenode.net; so worth asking there.

Great idea. Celebrities will love or hate it, so either we'll have media attention because let's say Madonna will mention "her own" coin in some interview, or famous gayfishes will try to sue it again. Also, teenage girls will love stuff like justin-beaver-money and will spend some of their pocket money on it I'm sure))) Easy to run client in a must, adding nodes etc will be way too hard for 99% of celeb fans

Awesome video and thank you. Silly question is how you determine what specific graphic card you have. Device manager in my OS does not seem to show these specifications.

Thanks,
YC

Made another tutorial video to help people who are new to the whole mining thing:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mC9QLd-TjMU

Hopefully this one is a little easier for people who have no experience to understand..? Smiley

Share it if you think it could help people get involved more! I'm still loving the low difficulty. I've been doing CPU mining FFS!

Yes, but it's a .zip file, not an .exe (see my original post).

Yes, I know it's straightforward enough for someone IT-literate to unzip to a suitable folder and manually create shortcuts but most people expect to be able to run an .exe file and for the installation to be automatic.

Maybe try to get it on this exchange? MCXNow reopened trading. Fast transactions and trading.

I will carve your heart out and eat it in front of your eyes if you discredit McxNow by having COYE added.

So we all know it is a fun parody coin

It being a "fun parody coin" is not necessarily inconsistent with people taking an interest and using it.  The novelty value could be exactly what it needs.

It could be "Koi, the universal celebrity coin".  I'm sure others can come up with a better slogan, but you get the drift.

Does anybody like this image or the style of it? Would you make any changes? Looking to crowdsource for some really nice gayfish illustrations
