still not a good start of the "coin for the masses"

what about making an installer, which includes putting coinyecoin-qt in program files, copying a node-pre-filled conf to appdata\roaming, and include (or download for that matter) cgminer/cgminer-nogpu so that there is really a one-click-use and 2-click-mine for this coin? this can easily be done.

i think even i could do it. if this idea gets some +1s ill try it.

this coin still has potential.
I agree that this coin does has potential, but the fact that many exchanges won't touch this this coin due to legal issues. If a legit exchange outside of the u.s that is willing to challenge this, this coin will succeed! I'm holding onto my coinye and not letting go anytime soon Smiley

Look, all this Kanye, Coinye, COYE crap needs to be dropped. Just totally rebrand it, rename it and get a new logo. Get rid of all associations with Kanye, no matter how vague.

I think the best idea so far is to rename it KOI. It even sounds nice phonetically.... KOI Coin. It rolls off the tongue nicely. And it's name is conveniently 3 letters, perfect for listing on an exchange.

Plus that logo someone did up looks badass! A samurai wielding Koi fish?! Yes, please!

Seriously, this is easy to change and fix. Re-skin the wallet and just get on with it.

There is no chance of this getting on an established exchange under the current circumstances, even though the C&D letters might not even be valid for foreign-based websites, and his lawsuit may be totally baseless and not winnable eventually, the exchanges still want to avoid any and all trouble when it comes to dealing with possibility of disrupting thousands of people's accounts.

Let's get this done, get it listed, and start trading. People will love this coin.

Seriously. Do it. KOI Coin.

Except for a couple of things. First of all, the coin logo still shows the COINYE word right on it. Second of all, who the hell gives a shit about whatever the hell KOI would be? Coinye is popular because of all the media attention. Once you "rebrand" it, you also lose all of that attention. Who is gonna care about it? Why would they care about it? What would be the purpose of the coin? Right now its purpose it to be a parody coin to Kanye. Once that's gone, it'll become just another alt-currency with no one caring about it. Why would an exchange pick up this coin? What will give it value? Nothing. If this coin makes it, it will make it as Coinye.

They are the same, is just a discussion about changing the name to avoid the lawsuit related problem. All the coin your mentioned used the same blockchain, so its the same coin.

COXE is the name given by crycurex.com to avoid legal issue.
KOI was another one of the many proposed name.

So keep you coin, they are still valuable.

Yeah, no shit it says COINYE on it! I didn't design this.... that was just an example. Obviously, the COINYE would be replaced with KOI.
