Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

Website will be updated as soon as possible. We're still working out a few more details. I doubt that there was a panic sell because of the lack of news. People removed their buy orders and people panicked at the lack of buy volume and sold lower and lower. A couple of weak hands sold in a panic. Nothing new in the crypto currency world. As you can see there is very little sell resistance back to where we were a few hours ago.

First off, it wasn't a panic sell.  I watched it happen.  Repeatedly over a fairly short period of time, someone very rapidly bought his way through lots of pre-set sale lots, none of which had particularly large amounts of SMC.  This was done so quickly via some sort of automated mechanism or "buy bot" that coinmarket.io couldn't even keep up with the display of sale lots, only the current price.  In other words, the display would show lots from, for example 11xxx down to 9xxx but the lots being sold were at 7xxx.  You could only see the actual price in the Buy and Sell boxes.

The result was that the only remaining lots for sale were quite inexpensive and it appeared as if there had been a run.  That caused some people who believed there HAD been a run to lower their prices considerably and then the process repeated itself.  As I said, I watched it happen twice and I think it probably occurred a few more times.  In the end, someone with automated buying software managed to get a nice sized chunk of SMC for a deep discount.  And because of my pre-set sell orders, I ended up with a bunch more SMC at prices I never thought I'd see.  So yay for me, I guess.

I had a series of preset buy triggers set across fairly broad range and they all triggered in seconds.  Here's the one that had a set at 7500 and then 7006.  Both were triggered in less than 20 seconds yet there were many orders in between.  Same thing for 2 other sets I had.
Buy   Tue Feb 18 04:58:34   499.25 SMC   0.00007006   0%   0.03497746 BTC
Buy   Tue Feb 18 04:58:15   331.83812547 SMC0.00007500   0%   0.02488786 BTC

Nobody types that fast Smiley

Secondly, you think that an unfinished website is something that causes a panic sell?  Egad, man; get a grip.

It´s a little bit disappointing at the moment. Every time somebody is trying to buy up the sell orders, there are some guys which are dumping their coins. Okay, you may say, you´ll sell to buy back later at a cheaper price, but be warned, you are killing each growing in the beginning for just a few coins more. Smartcoin has a huge potential. Be patient and hold your coins for at least some weeks or month and all of us will get 10x or more of the current value.

Be smart. Be patient. Mine, buy and hold your smartcoins.

This holds true whether they dump their coin or not, I rather have those volatile members out of the market so that in a few weeks it is truly stable.

if this keeps happening, what's gonna actually cause the turn around for smartcoins to actually start going up in value? other than the whole it's a 3 week old coin since plenty of new coins are doing really well. not trying to flame or anything, genuinely curious since i'm heavily invested in this coin as well but I'm finally posting as I hate to say it but it's not looking like I'll be able to break even at the minimum

Good to see the fluctuations in difficulty decreasing and an overall trend upwards in difficulty over the last few hours.

Very interesting. Looks like we´ll see a price jump very soon. The diff suddenly rised up a lot without a price jump before. This can´t be a multipool, because there are other coins which are more profitable in a very short term. This must be a true believer / investor or an insider who knows a little bit more about the future of Smartcoin... Cryptsy?!?

Price should be much higher per MH/s for a new coin with a lot potential like SMC.

... and coinmarket.io is offline since the diff jump!

Guys, fasten your selt belts. There is happening something very smart.

+ There was a whale buying SMC for 5 - 12 BTC per day in the last few days.

Price should be at least 20.000+ now!

Edit: Right after I wrote it, the diff jump is gone. Hm...

Oh well, more coins for the rest of us. Stock up before lift-off!
