I too am trying to set up my linux box to solo mine, I saved smartcoin.conf to /home/user/.smartcoim

I ran the command you said and didn't get any joy.

here's what cgminer spat out:

What the command I should be using?

I tried a variant of other command I have has success with, but no joy, here's an example:

GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT=100 GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS=1 ./cgminer -I 18 -g 2 -w 256 --thread-concurrency 2400 --scrypt -o http://127.0.0.1:58583 -u  -p myPassword

Any info would be a great help.

i use

cgminer --scrypt -o http://127.0.0.1:58583 -u myUser -p myPassword --queue 0 --scan-time 1 --expiry 1 -I 13 -g 2 --thread-concurrency 8192 --worksize 256 --gpu-engine 990  --gpu-memclock 1400 --gpu-powertune 0 --temp-target 70 --auto-fan --temp-cutoff 85


it seems like its working but not sure untill i see some coins come trough keep you all uptated

Asking every couple hours and trolling doesn't make updates happen any faster.

I don't think smartcoin has be 1st place. Bter did say they will "more" coins so maybe the top 3-5 coins? I am sure they noticed it and SMC won't be ignored but damn can't stop laughing at coinye coin.

Edit: its been about 10 minutes and coinye coin got about 75 new votes...hard working bots.

I am regular visitor on this site + thread, and loyal Smc miner/bag holder.. Also i consider my self a doer/thinker and i understand that to make this thang alive Smc community should bring something to the table. I personally miss the experience where smc was worth    0.0003 Btc or 0.04 USD.      Each and every one of us should show a little support in order for our Dev and our time dedicated to Smc to work out in the long run. So here i am i can offer two things I have two top class Dj`s holding residencies in (location UK-untitled) (non geeks) on board here. So i believe i could get them to list music samples under 1 min and sell full top class remixes at best quality available for small profit. That is no.1

I would prefer solo mining Smc if any 1 introduce me to a guide would be very much appreciated besides i would give a reward of 100 smc not much but a litle something. Easy 100 smc especially if you already know or have the right links..

You'll want to download the wallet and a miner (cgminer or guiminer).

Run your wallet and load it the first time.

Create a Smartcoin.conf file in your appdata/roaming/Smartcoin folder (this is a hidden folder in "My Documents" so you may need to enable viewing hidden folders before you can open it).
