Why don't we go back to the chain with the old block reward, make a new wallet that updates the block reward to 16 at 10,000,000 SMC or so, promote the hell out of the coin and let everyone know that they must update to the new wallet?

This seems like the only solution to save the coin.

It would appear that we are going back to the old wallet fork and then forking to 16 coins/block at block 150,000.  Am I reading this correctly?  Or are these just suggested changes?

Hi

Anyone knows something about this github repo https://github.com/CryptoRepairCrew/smartcoin

Hello Swisscex, supposedly we forked at block 120,000.  We went from 64 coins/block to 16 coins/block.  HOWEVER, the only place that is on the new fork is hash.so.  EVERYONE else is on the old fork including cryptsy.  My guess is that the dev will declare the old fork the "official" fork recanting his earlier statement.  Then it seems the change/fork will occur at block 150,000 instead.

The good news is that it appears someone is working on the issue.  The bad news is that coins mined at hash.so after block 120,000 may disappear.

Of course not, Cryptsy's support is notoriously slow.

smc.hash.so

thitiporn    21,531 kh/s    11,847.746 SMC / DAY ====   12 000 SMC * 0.00000376 BTC = 0.045 BTC
if the same mining LTC
thitiporn    21,531 kh/s    3.815 LTC / DAY ====    3.815 * 0.02794 BTC = 0.1 BTC

some obviously knows something about the future of smart coin .... Wink

So someone is mining 11.850 SMC/Day on the new fork?! That is insane. And if we choose the old fork due to all this trouble, then all his mined coins will be gone too right?

I personally vote for the fastest solution, whatever it is. The reward for each solved block is not the problem atm. Smartcoin got a shitty reputation, and a split community. Poor advertisement, and no dev right now. That is what we should be concerned about. When the faith in Smartcoin is restored, then we can try messing with the code. Right now we should just look for the fastest way possible to make this coin usable again. One way or the other.

I am gone the entire weekend due to work. I'm typing this on my phone right now.

I have not left completely or dumped the coins.

Things are shaping up for the startup I work for and I cannot devote the time needed to make this a success. It seems like people have already taken charge. I am willing to give 150k SMC for the person willing to take the leadership position. I realize that I should have admitted that a while ago, but I was stubborn.

I don't appreciate whoever posted those profiles. That is not a responsible behavior and it doesn't show your maturity.

I trust ahmedbodi, if he would like to continue this project.

you first wrote your name on the site getsmartcoin.com and smartcoin.io
I just found you

in your project believe many people
They invest many thousands of dollars
many dollars are earned by honest work and a lot of work
there are honest people who have not received money from the trees
and someone has to bear the responsibility for this failure that you did

you must bear responsibility for having started their project without sufficient knowledge of programming time to complete the project and of course you have not found the right partner for this / marketing director / who left us at the very beginning

A lot of money just went down the drain are exactly that money could go to the children, the sick people in the world and many good causes

if you have the coordinates of ahmedbodi, he invited him to be the new developer

As a regular of Hash.so, brought in by SMC no less, been mining there before and since fork. Kinda have a bit of faith in the skills of hash.so folks, even when it all goes wrong .. like it has on a few coins .. *cough*rabbits, cash*cough* ..

 Wink

OK .. looks like someone else is joining in .. Net Hash is 70Mhs and 55 of that is from Hash.so.

Coinmarket Cat prowls once again.
