NobleCoin on AltOutlet

NOBL is now live and accepted on AltOutlet. Cheers guys Smiley

Just checked it. More silent, but solid Noble adoption. We are heading in a direction where few crypto has gone before.

Thank whatever powers that be we didn't go for cryptsy.

it is odd that with all the mile stones that this currency has achieved, there hasn't been more attention brought to it within the media. i just guess that goes to show how much some other coins have paid and bribed exchanges and media outlets to generate buzz instead of building a solid infrastructure.

and yes... it is a good thing that we didn't end up on craptsy... for if nothing else, it has given us ample time to establish merchants exchanges, charities, and a great community. without much P&D, that's not to say that we haven't had a rough go of it at times. but is does allow us to develop real world applications.
Exactly. I'm starting to think that the biggests hypes don't have anything to do with innovations and news, but mostly with amount of BTC poured into particular pump by the whales.

You got it.

also just thinking about it has noble reached an equilibrium?  Demand and supply have equalled, large holders happy with the amount they have collecting other coins now.  (Also the incredible amount of other coins appearing and drawing new blood away)

Wondering if 5 billion proposed coin limit is still too high?

Thoughts?

5 billion is ok I think, but it should not be released in 7 years. More bitcoin like would be better --> incentive to mine for many years.

I think Rofo has a very....what is the easiest way to explain it....adaptive? approach to crypto. He has a vision for many years to come and understands that in this world you have to be ready to change and ready to embrace change. I think as we progress many things will change, as we all know forking is the flavor of the month right now with people jumping to PoS and X11, and in reality there is nothing that could potentially stop BTC from forking and changing their max coin to 5 Billion. With that being said, there is a ton in the works and a bunch of stuff to come, and as of for right now I think the halving rate and the max coin is just right.

IMO 5 billion may not even be enough in the long run, but is a good amount for now.

After all, noone likes dealing with decimals  Cheesy

When you think about it, if something like btc becomes a worldwide currency, 247m coins aren't going to go very far...

I think it`s the same as with gold. A lot of people have only a few grams of it and everybody wants it. If the value is high enough people would love to
have even 0.01 BTC Wink

to some degree i can understand the problem of market saturation, in as far as the shear number of coins there are, and are still being produced. however, it does seem that the lack of attention being directed towards Noble is bordering on intentional.

as far as cutting the total amount to below 5 billion.... keep in mind... that there is currently a little over 12 trillion USD currently in circulation, if that is how we are to measure value, by having more or less, meaning less is more valuable. then shouldn't every crypto be worth more that $1 USD? by that metric, Noble is 1/20,000th in regards to numbers. so with that 1 Noble would be worth $20,000.
1 BTC would be worth about $571,400 for example. so i think that it would be the wrong way to look at it.

personally i think that we should look at the utility of a currency. for example, even though the USD isn't worth anything, in terms of true intrinsic value, it still holds value ( whether it should of not) based on the utility of said currency. so that being said i believe tthat we are on the right track. the number of exchanges are growing, the number of merchants is increasing, and the number of accepting charities is on the way up. compare that to many of the other coins. with the growing market and the growing utilization of Noble, we are building brick by brick the foundation of a much stronger currency, as well as the necessary infrastructure to make it as usable, if not more so, than either BTC or LTC.

but the value is still in it utility not in its' RARITY but in its' utilization.

to expand on that example the U.S. national debt is over $17 trillion with around $12 trillion in circulation and $127 trillion in unfunded liabilities. and the total amount of currency on the planet would equal about $62 trillion. and yet we still think that the USD has value.

something to think about for all of us americans... even more so, now the china is about to overtake our economy, and the world is wanting to go to a global currency, for a number of reasons, but also, they are tired of the US printing it's way our of debt ( which doesn't work) and destroying the global economy in the process ( due to the USD being the world reserve currency)

If we do intend to hard fork, I'd like to change to something that lowers electricity usage and stress on the graphics cards. Mining is not profitable right now.
