i request BTC-E to add VTC, and their answer is:
"Good day, yet do not plan to add."

I think our community shall send more request.

BTC-E is a nice place for VTC!

You got to do a gradual reduction of rewards, otherwise price will keep faltering.

Guess nobody is here to hear this.

It halves every 840,000 blocks.

Let's not annoy them. They answered your question, so don't get on their bad side. Thanks for checking!

Sorry I did notice your post before and meant to reply, but I never got round to it.

I disagree - for two reasons:

1. Hardforking to change the economics of the system is a terrible idea - even if miners went along with such a suggestion, it would still damage trust in the parameters of the chain - certainty is important.

2. Price isn't faltering, and even if it were, the people who are watching the price every 5 minutes are probably better off in something other than VTC. If someones primary focus is "what can I sell this for today in terms of fiat or BTC" that implies to me a fundamental preference for either fiat (in which case I have no idea why that person would be involved with cryptos) or BTC (in which case I have no idea why that person would be involved in an ASIC resistant coin). If your main interest is in mining a chain that resists ASICs because of a belief that they are bad for security, or you're invested in VTC because of the same belief, then I doubt you'd care much what the price was today.

Actually, my suggestion was to put in a gradual reduction of supply instead of halving every 4 years. The maths would be kept as such as to keep the total supply constant (similar to like, say, Worldcoin).

Anyways, with Scrypt ASICS out there and Auroracoin getting attacked, the benefits of VTC should be obvious. I just feel if VTC has a more 'modern' specs (the halving every 4 years looks archaic to me), that would be cool.

I switched 2 rigs over to VTC p2pool a few days ago and I have been getting very inconsistent results.
Specifically, I seem to get payouts frequently for a short period and then nothing after that.
The current run started last night. I got frequent payouts, every few minutes for small fractions of coins. Then, at around 9am this morning, all payouts stopped and have received nothing for 12 hours.
Meanwhile, the vertminer client continues to report shares being submitted.
In addition, on the pool side, it reports the "Time to share" as being between 12-15 minutes, bouncing around this value since 9am, but never going outside this range. The pool is reporting my hash rate close to what my client is reporting.
This happened on Friday as well, and im completely  at a loss to understand why this behavior is occurring.

Are you specifying difficulty?  If the difficulty of the shares you submit is less than the pool minimum I don't think they will count for anything.

Im not specifying anything, but the "best share" reported on my client is 40.1M
It this the part about adding a +xxx suffix to the wallet address?
Im still unclear as to why it worked prior to 9am and didn't work after 9am.
How does one tell the pool difficulty?

The idea of VTC is right as is now,
we dont need any change, its very important to keep things as was said, keep promises and so on ..

its no pump and dump, this should be raal tool, some temporary price ups or downs are not so important , important is long run!

I`d like to hear from them on the issues of slower block propagation throughout the network with adaptive N algorithm, that Litecoin devs are talking about..
