Devs and everyone in general needs to promote this coin otherwise it's going to be stuck on the ground hidden away in some secret bunker in Area 51.
Why don't we sponsor a new SETI program with the coins get some PR going. If a smelly breath Doge can do it, why not an Alien. first thing is to get this coin on an exchange any exchange will do.

Agreed. Perhaps targeting a different exchange such as www.coinex.pw would be more beneficial at this time. They seem to be more supportive of newer coins.

I'm so angered by this release. I was literally in the process of creating my own Aliencoin and then I saw this. Anyway looks awesome, switched my hashing  onto this. Looking forward to seeing what this coin will do.

Guys There are a few new Exchanges in Beta testing right now but open to trade, I just asked this one http://crycurex.com/ to add Aliencoin.
They Listed Cryptonium coin even though it is only 24 hours old. they review which coins to add after 50 votes and if you got any Coye from the madness of Mr west, it's now trading there. Shock.!!! I now have somewhere to unload the Gayfish

close your wallet.  Go to -  %appdata%/roaming/Aliencoin and delete everything except your wallet.dat file run the wallet again as administrator. should do the trick

have you made a config file ?
Have you firewall up? if so you need to allow Aliencoin-qt through.
or if you have Kaspersky intenet protection or something similar create a new allow rule for the wallet.
apart from that I'm not sure what to do.

Firewall let it through and i don't have any antivirus. Are there any nodes i have to add in the conf file? i do have one
