Please everyone make sure not to use the same password at multiple pools!

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

That's great news!

Regarding the bounty on merchant who will accept DGB - I could talk with my partner to accept DGB as payment for our services (graphic and book cover design) - miniGRAFIK.com
Will that be good enough for the reward? Smiley

Although, since there is no API (yet), how could we implement it (e-commerce wise)? Will the notice about our company accepting DigiByte (banner or blog post) and our DGB address on the website be ok with you?

Everyone please take note of the Xtra Pool. Several users have reported this pool was the only other pool they had registered on when there account was hacked and coins stolen. USE WITH CAUTION & CHANGE PASSWORDS

Someone also tried to break into BitcoinTate's account. The only other other pool he had registered with was Xtra Pool. Issue's have also been noted with this pool provider in other coin threads. At this point there is no definitive proof so it will not be de-listed. But please CHANGE YOUR PASSWORDS

That will suffice. Starting off with a wallet is the first step. Payment gateway under discussion.

It may seem like a stretch but why not contact the w/Fedoracoin development team.  - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=414204.0

They are getting close to being finished with their payment platform and something like that soon off for a coin with this type of marketing and widespread reach already a partnership like this could be perfect. Just a thought.

alright guys block reward at 8000 coins, i see the hashrate droped from 0.5 GHS to 0.37 GHS wich means the coin still has increased his value since you hash more to receive less (half cut) the difficulty droped a little but more than before. Means we receive less coin with the same hash power...

My $0.02

Here is proof we have given away over 37 million of the pre-mine and plan on giving more over the next couple days!

Excel log download of over 1200 Transactions Exported from DigiByte -qt:
http://www.digibyte.co/sites/digibyte.co/files/crypto/1_14_2014_DigiByte_Giveaways.csv

Here are some facts to those still doubting a 0.5% (which is almost down to a (.25%) Pre-mine:
1) Giveaways create wallet downloads: DGB is now in over 1000 - 2000 wallets in just over two days of launch. (10,000 hits on the website)

2) The pre-mine has allowed us to bring on other developers as we can give them incentive to work on the project.

3) It is more fair. There are many talented people within the community that do not have a huge mining farm in their garage. By giving coins to them you are bringing someone on board that would never have the ability to mine many coins otherwise.

4) Launching a successful coin is expensive. Before launch we had sunk several hundred dollars into the coin. This does not include the thousands of dollars in time we have spent in this past month that we could of been working on something else, spending time with our families etc.

5) We as developers have incentive to stick around and work on this coin and not go create another one like so many other devs have done. Like stated before this is our first and only coin we plan on working on. We all have full time jobs as well. Since this launched it has become an around the clock project.
